Great news, Jt and Honeybee. I always like when people go to different places and see more of the world. Loved the story about the girl who went to China and the exchange student from Thailand. Thai people are so nice. :D

I've only been at my job a month, but I'm technically getting a promotion next week! I'm going to be trained on closing duties, which puts me in a supervisory position when I work the evening shift. Hopefully this will also equal a raise, though I don't know about that yet. Gotta wait to find out from my boss.

That's great news, Trek shipper. :) You must be doing very well to get a promotion so quickly.

I start school in less than 2 weeks! Never thought I'd be excited about school, but I am! I have my degree plan mostly done and have started reading my textbooks. I have also been made a moderator at another site. I guess I like peace-keeping. My son is also now registered for college and is working at the store H and I work in. Life is good! :D

How is everyone doing?

That is wonderful Trek_shipper, Bether!

So Bether, do you have your FAFSAs done? I finally finished mine about a week and a half ago.

We did the FAFSA in February and are just waiting for the award letter of zero  from the college before we can submit for a loan for J. My school allows a payment plan so that has been helpful.

Bleah! However, you'll find education spending is worth some good tax credits this year.

That's a LONG time to wait for FAFSA. I'd call and ask them where it is. They may have thought you were going to send in an amended application.

No worries. I already called the college and they said the letters would be sent out in May.

Trek shipper, I'm going to school for psychology. The odds are against me (only 10% even get in to graduate school) and it would probably take 10 years...but I'm going to try! :)

Grades are submitted! Still have a little pick up commentary to do tomorrow - but the heavy lifting is done!

Congrats! I still have to write (and grade) a final, plan a couple of classes, and grade stragglers, but the bulk of the research papers are done, so I'm feeling pretty good. Next week is the end of it until next fall. Yippee!

I know it! Just as I hit send - I got an email from a student. "I have my portfolio can I stop by your office and drop it off."

Um, it was due last Friday - and my last on campus day was yesterday (per the clear posting on my door).

But I took pity on the guy and gave him an incomplete. I'll look at his stuff later. He'll be lucky if he gets a C, though.

And now, I'm really done.

Next week, I start prepping for my two summer conferences - but Spring 2010 is all done! Yeah.
