Make yourself a tomatoe and maynonaise sandwhich, they make you happy. I don't know why, I think it's a chemical in the tomatoes.

True story:

When I was little, my Grandma would say, "What do you want for dinner?"

Me: "A tomato sandwich."

Grandma: "Okay, but you have to have something else besides that."

Me: "Another tomato sandwich."

LOL.

My tomatoes are just beginning to bloom. :(

However, I'm drowning in snap peas. Gonna have to blanch and freeze. Nobody can eat this much roughage...

And put some bacon on it. Bacon makes everything better. :D

Very true. But I usually skip it if the tomatoes are really, really sweet. Especially Roma tomatoes, I like the clean flavors. Hey Aquarius I had the same story in reverse. I was like 2, and grammy said we were having tomatoes sandwiches for dinner. I said it's not enough, she said don't worry I'll make more.

Ah to be in college again, one BLT and a grapefruit juice between math and Art History. Everyday until I had to drop out to go stay in the hospital again.

If you're having it for a meal you need the protein. For a snack it's not so necessary, I guess.

Maybe I'll combine the advice from everyone and serve steamed snap peas tossed with mayonnaise and bacon....

But tonight the hubby and I went to celebrate Father's Day plus a belated anniversary dinner at a Korean restaurant in Albany that doesn't advertise that it serves Korean (usually it steers non-Koreans to those Japanese cooking tables). I don't know why they're shy about it. Their Korean is a hundred times better than their Japanese. I was moaning to a Korean woman who was selling me a pair of glasses about the lack of Korean restaurants in this area and she told me about it. Of course, the first time we went, we got steered to the wrong room and the wrong menu and were wondering what the heck she was talking about. Thankfully I asked before we left.

LOVE Korean food. LOVE IT.

I could not possibly agree more. There is not a sandwich I eat (except peanut butter) that isn't made better with bacon.

LOVE Korean food. LOVE IT.

My problem with Korean food is it has TONS on onions in it and I am deathly allergic to onions. That's not all, I can't have shallots, scalions, leeks, or even chives. It's genetic, my mother, grandmother, and aunt also are allergic. My annoying sister got dad's food gene so she's immune. :-x So I tend to stick with sushi, I can eat pounds of wasabe I love it. Then again I also eat scotch-bonnet peppers, I like heat. I LOVE Thai food, specifically green papya salad. Only the people at my Thai place are mean, they won't give me the recipy.

Ask JustTripn for that recipe. She's our Thai food guru! Plus you can find most Thai food recipes online somewhere. You just have to translate prawns into shrimp and ground nuts into peanuts... (if you're not allergic to those).

Allergic to onions. That's so sad. (Makes me cry ... okay, bad joke.) I can't imagine never eating food that contains members of the wonderful allium family. :( Just in my own garden I grow four kinds of sweet onions, plus Egyptian walking onions, garlic, leeks... and some of my favorite garden flowers are alliums too.

Strangely enough garlic is fine. Nope I'm not allergic to peanuts. I am allergic to oranges, cantalope, and bananas. I will ask if she doesn't mind. Like I said they're mean at the Thai place I crave that salad too often to be sane.

Sorry for the double. Well despite my OBGYN being a sadist for making me an 8:30 AM appointment, he gave me new pills. HOPEFULLY I won't turn into a stark raving psycho of last week again, but if I do I'll stay away I promise. Then I will kill my OBGYN and get away with it using the hormone defense! Hey at least it will be true. ;-)
