Will it sound really wierd if I say that I think I'd enjoy reading that? (Rather, a parody of Mary Sues written like that?)

Hey, maybe we should have a parody challenge. How about a thread where each of us writes a Mary Sue (or Manny Sam?) of 200 words or less - that could fit right into the thread entries. The plot being "How Mary Sue saves Enterprise, earns the respect of the crew, and the love of one crew member". The crew member who becomes enamored with her/him could be anyone from Archer to Porthos!

bad idea? :(

good idea? 8)

Edit: As a disclaimer, I'm not trying to bash everyone who ever spells a word incorrectly or has a typo. It happens. But I firmly believe that if one is going to be posting works of fanfiction the characters' names should be spelled correctly. This is not Elizabethan England, where Raleigh himself spelled his name different ways and nobody thought it odd. Just a fanfic pet peeve of mine.

I take it that you deliberately spelled T'pol, Tripp, Flox, John and Pothos wrong? :raspberry: ;)

Obviously.

I'm guilty of the "T'pol" misspelling early in my fanfic career. More obvious misspellings drive me nuts, though.

Well, anyone have a different word limit suggestion? I was just thinking there should be a limit so it would fit into a thread reasonably.

Well, 200 words works and then people can do more than one, perhaps. If they're so inspired.

Okay, I put up a thread on Non-Fic Fanfiction called Short Fic Challenge: How Mary Sue Saves Enterprise.

Anyone want to be first?

Does this mean we can tease ourselves? Could be therapeutic. Somehow I doubt keeping it to 200 words will be hard for me. Might take me a few weeks to write.

So I'm helping a group of people collaborating to make a Charity Burn Fund Hot Chicks Astride Motorcycles kind of calendar.

It's $23 CDN for Canadians and $25 CDN for Americans (including shipping) and it's got 13 hot chicks along with big shiny motorcycles.

100% of proceeds go to the Fire Fighters' Charitable Society to help send young burn victims to camp.

If this is your thing and you would like to support sending young burn victims to camp, whilst also enjoying a year of mechanical sexiness, please click the image below.
