I loved it.

Yes, the plot was morbid, the technobabble was borderline ("converting a water extractor to extract proteins from organic matter".... Huh? How could machinery designed to distill water be modified to put out intact proteins? Makes no sense at all but I guess it's marginally less nauseating than brother-en-brochette), the captain was sorta Mary-Sueish, the Vulcan sounded. like. this., all the women either had the same plastic surgeon or suffered from an extreme form of gigantomastia, and everybody was crosseyed, but it was Trek and it was new. That alone made it priceless.

I see there is a second story in development now. While the quality isn't up to modern big budget CGI standards, it's remarkably good for an amateur production. I'm looking forward to the day this sort of thing is readily available and we can see fanfic films as well as fanfic stories.

As far as I can see, so far very few people have mastered the art of figures interacting directly with objects or with each other - which is a shame, because that would be an essential part of the sort of TnT fanfic stories I'd want to watch.
