Course, if they hadn't insisted on padding everyone out, then Janeway would have been played by Canadian actress Genevieve Bujold who I do not like.

I do not like her Sam I Am.

However, she apparantly wouldn't stand for bra padding so they hired Kate Mulgrew. Who I did like. So padding's not all bad I guess.

OMG - I saw her audition scene with Tim Russ on youtube and she would have been aweful - she totally sucked the air right out of the scene she did with him. I am so glad Kate Mulgrew got the part after seeing who could have been Captain Janeway...

Really. With that catsuit, I figured KTR would've watched some VOY just for the bum shots.

To be honest, Jeri Ryan never did that much for me, catsuited bum or not. Of the VOY females I prefer the feisty B'Elanna.

(Who's with me on the McPants? Anyone else labour for the Clown in those burn-unit-waiting-to-happen polyester shitlockers? I always insisted on the men's pants. At least they just had a giant built-in, gut-expansion-size belt. You could belt that up and 'round. The women's pants pre-emptively allowed for said woman to expand in the thighs and bottom area {knowing how much McD's the employees usually eat}, and thus the McPants made you look bubble-bottomed, whether you were overweight or skinny as a rail. Which I thought pre-emptive and unfair. I only gained 15 lbs during the 2 years I worked there. )

Yeah well, what can I say. I liked B'Elanna's character much better. And she did wear more form-fitting costumes on some occasions. And I remember a bathing suit too!
