Well if we do it, I'll make sure everybody's hair is in good shape. And I love gardening. 8)

Gardening is a valuable skill. I tried it once and everything died, but I like to eat fresh vegetables. :D

Well, I only cut my hair about once a year, but cucumbers and tomatoes are spiritual necessities. 8)

I don't want to cut my hair at all too many bad memories.

Fine but then I'll just have to lecture you on the evils of split ends.

And I've got 'em. I just hate to lose the length. My hair grows very slowly. Even only cutting it a couple of inches once a year I've yet to get it any longer than waist length. I envy those Indian girls who can grow a braid to their ankles. I'd love to be able to do that, but my hair apparently isn't capable of growing that long without breaking. I'm still trying to grow out my last haircut last fall when I got fed up with all the breaking and cut six inches off. I've barely got it back to the bottom of my shoulder blades now. When I braid it I feel like half my braid is missing.

Aquarius my sister does that, but then the last time I let her "take care" of the evils of split ends she made the problem much worse. And she is very good at her job. So I will get a trim when I see the split ends, but until then not happening.

Dis--Your hair will actually grow faster if you get trims more often. Hair is like rope, and will continue to fray if left unchecked, damage traveling upwards. Those weakened ends crack off, giving the appearance that your hair is growing slowly. What's actually happening is that you're cracking it off at about the same rate you're growing new stuff out of your scalp.

I tell my clients who are growing their hair to come in on an eight week schedule. The average person's hair grows about a half of an inch per month, so when you come in if I take a half inch, you're still a half inch ahead of where you were at your last cut. Plus, since no one's hair grows at exactly the same rate all over their head, the shape of the cut is better maintained with regular trimming.

I've never heard of a haircut making split ends worse, but okay. Even good hairdressers can have a bad day, is all I can say.

I cut off 4 feet of hair in 2001 and donated it to wigs for kids. It was to my knees. I was tired of my circus-freak status.

OK that's not a freak of nature, that's something special and beautiful. But I'm sure your hair made the most awsome wigs ever.

No it was just off... You see I had shaved my head the year before for medical reasons, and when it finally needed cut, well it was just bad. Think T'Pau only without the bangs.
