You hear a lot about globalization, and while McDonald's is just down the road, I'm starting to get less worried.
Actually, right about now I could go for a tiny bit *more* globalization. See, I've wanted Cheez-Its for two weeks now. Cheez-Its are nowhere to be found in Australia. (I have, however, emailed my mom asking her to send Cheez-Its to me.

) It reminds me of
bnb's hilarious post on global warming: I want my globalization. I demand my globalization... Actually, that would take the fun out of travel. I don't really want complete globalization. Just of Cheez-Its. That yummy goodness should be spread far and wide.
Anyway - and well-suited to "Randomness" - I went to a forum on saving the Tasmanian devil, which is in trouble because of a cancer they give each other. Afterwards I asked someone why it's important to save them. (This was my clueless American question.) She said they're only in Tasmania, which I knew, but that does not denote inherent value in and of itself. They're important ecologically, which made sense. And then she said, they're cute.
Riiiight. Does
this look cute to you?
