Uh... cute?
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Looks like a nice ball of fur to me. I could easily see someone calling that guy cute.

Actually, right about now I could go for a tiny bit *more* globalization. See, I've wanted Cheez-Its for two weeks now. Cheez-Its are nowhere to be found in Australia. (I have, however, emailed my mom asking her to send Cheez-Its to me. 8) ) It reminds me of bnb's hilarious post on global warming: I want my globalization. I demand my globalization... Actually, that would take the fun out of travel. I don't really want complete globalization. Just of Cheez-Its. That yummy goodness should be spread far and wide.

Some things, like Cheez-its and chocolate, are of such universal goodness that it would be morally wrong not to spread them around.

Anyway - and well-suited to "Randomness" - I went to a forum on saving the Tasmanian devil, which is in trouble because of a cancer they give each other. Afterwards I asked someone why it's important to save them. (This was my clueless American question.) She said they're only in Tasmania, which I knew, but that does not denote inherent value in and of itself. They're important ecologically, which made sense. And then she said, they're cute.

Riiiight. Does this look cute to you?

Cute does not impress me. But out of pure enlightened greed and self-interest, I think it is a bad idea to let any life -form go extinct. One never knows what economic value our great grandchildren might be able to find in the currently useless critters. Davy Crockett probably would have shit a brick if someone had told him that you could make medicine out of rattlesnake venom.

Cheez-its? Never heard of it. It's not something to be found here in Sweden as far as I know... :?

I've finished to hectic days at work since I had a lot to pre-prepare before going on Easter vacation next week. Feels good to not have to return to work until March 26th! 8)

How you know you're traveling in the right circles: Last night we went out to eat after the astronomy meeting, I'm sitting at a table of five people, and one announces spontaneously (It wasn't me!) "I hate TV, but Bob and I have become addicted to Star Trek: Enterprise. There was a marathon on and we watched four episodes in one day." So another guy starts going on about the original series and says he's read "All the books." Someone asks, "Oh, how many are there?" He answers, "Oh not that many, only 3 or 4 hundred." [And he MEANT "Oh not that many . . ."]
