Cool. I'd be more impressed if it was manned, though. At this rate I'll never get to go stay at the Mars Hilton. :(

I got my retro-made Mego Kirk and Mego Klingon action figures today! Weee... :D So now I have all six that's come out.

Later this year summer Uhura and Scotty will be released and I'll get those too of course. But I don't think I'll bother with the aliens coming out at the same time. The Mugato doesn't look like a Mugato (more like a Planet of the Apes reject) and "the Keeper" doesn't look like a Talosian (more like a badly made Balok; scroll down a bit).

Speaking of Megos, did you know that there is an online Mego Museum.

And check out my Mego avatar!

^ The Khan one is actually going to be brand new. He was never made back in the 70s. Same goes for Sulu and Chekov. But they're making them now, in Mego-style.

But you're right about Scotty. I thought that even as a kid.

This is a little announcement that I will be "away" for a week at the Texas Star Party. But I won't be "away" if I can borrow someone's laptop for a few minutes at the star party and get on the Internet. We shall see . . .
I'm donating my body to science fiction.

Have fun, jT!

So here's a very random anecdote. Background info: Aussies use 'tucker' for food.

I got a box from a place in Australia that sells American food. (Some of the heavy stuff costs too much to ship to ask my mom to send.) I was showing someone the Cream of Wheat (yum!) and he said, "Ah, your favorite tucker." And I thought, not quite! ;)

Imagine the fun you could have with cream of wheat AND your favorite Tucker.

Okaaaaay. :?

Well, at least it's an original theory, right?

Wait, didn't Asimov publish a mock scientific paper about using a chemical that dissolved a fraction of a second BEFORE it hits water to predict the future? What if this is a joke? What day did he publish his findings? Was it April 1st?

Well, could it be the mind extrapolates from the visual image it already has of an incoming object, what it would look like closer? That is not really precognition as I understand the concept. To me, precognition means a person always sees the future correctly, which is something I am totally skeptical about but makes for great fiction stories. So the theory of this ability is that it is like CGI - preparing an image that has not happened (not perceived by the eye yet) - yes, an illusion? So it may NOT happen that way and yet again, it just might happen that way. Maybe it PROBABLY will happen that way based on past performance of the object? It is a useful technique of our marvelous physical body if this theory proves to be true after rigorous scientific study.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

It would refute modern physics wouldn't it? I was under the impression that everything is a matter of probability, and that nothing about the future is set in stone.
