I would imagine the command staff playing Monopoly and T'Pol questioning the logic and wisdom of buying expensive properties and hotels when there is a substantial risk of paying for damages... that or questioning the legal grounds of being sent to jail... not to mention the logic behind the "Get out of jail free!" card.

(Let's not even get started on Trip winning a beauty pageant!)

Ok, question.

Q. The new ST movie is about a young TOS Enterprise crew. What would you like the next movie to be about? Era, plot, etc.

(I wonder if they'll try and kill any one off... wouldn't put it past 'em.)

Honestly, I don't really want a new movie. Unless of course it's an ENT movie that undoes the damage of *the_abomination*, let Trip live and have Trip and T'Pol together.

Q: All time favourite Trek character (except Trip or T'Pol)?
She's got an awfully nice bum!

Next movie? The Romulan War.

Fave ST character of all time? Scotty.

You're in charge of the shipboard holiday party on ENT. Here's the list:

Archer, T'Pol, Hoshi, Malcolm, Trip, Travis, Phlox, Cutler, Rostov, Chef, Porthos, Soval, Shran, plus yourself (14 in all)

It's your job to assign people as "Secret Santa" to each other. How would you do it? And what would they get their "person". (Ex. Trip and T'Pol?}

Well, he IS part of the crew. And I figured that Archer might get "his" Secret Santa present to his "person" in his name since dogs are usually lousy shoppers. LOL

Hmmm. Okay. The way we do Secret Santa at my office isn't in pairs. Everyone has their own. I'd do it this way:

I have Chef. I would volunteer to cook Cajun one weekend a month and give the poor man some time off.

T'Pol has Hoshi. She'd give her a copy of the Kirshara in the original ancient Vulcan. Hoshi would be thrilled.

Malcolm has Cutler. He'd panic because he has NO idea what to give her and ask Hoshi what to do. She'd tell him to get her a nice scented cologne or something for the shower. He still won't know which one to ask the quartermaster for, and she'll end up with an economy sized bottle of antibacterial body wash.

Trip has T'Pol. He'll give her a whole peach pie.

Travis has Rostov. He'd give him a book about creative atmospheric maneuvers one can do with a shuttlecraft...once proper modifications are made. He and Rostov will promptly head to the shuttlebay to start working on them.

Phlox has Soval. He'll give him a collection of Denobulan love poetry translated into Vulcan. Soval will find it fascinating.

Cutler has Phlox. She'll give him a pair of red satin boxers with white fur trim.

Rostov has Porthos. He'll fabricate him a lovely metal mesh collar with shiny studs from Engineering castoffs.

Chef has Trip. He'll promise to serve catfish once a month on the anniversary of Trip's birthday for a whole year.

Porthos has Archer, so Archer gives himself a one year subscription to "Water Polo Monthly", transmitted via subspace.

Soval has Shran. After debating whether he should simply give up on the whole idea of a cultural exchange in Human fashion and just go home, he decides to gift him with an assortment of human condiments including horseradish, Tabasco sauce, and wasabi, with instructions to add them liberally in any combination to any dish of Shran's choosing to get the full effect. His motivation, of course, is to expand Shran's culinary horizons and has absolutely nothing to do with revenge.

Shran has Malcolm. He gives him a traditional Andorian hunting blade. Malcolm is overjoyed.

Archer has me. (I'm in charge of the gift giving. Of course I'd make the captain owe me something.) He'd probably give me a gift certificate to the quartermaster so I could get my own gift since he doesn't know me from Eve.

Q: Would you be willing to join Starfleet security and wear the infamous red shirt?

Yeah, I can actually SEE that happening.

Yeah, this too. Captain's prerogative, I guess.

Yeah, revenge is totally and completely illogical.  :guffaw:

A gift certificate to the quartermaster? As long as he doesn't give it to you with a huge animal speech, Dis.

You kiddin'? I believe in karma. And bad luck. I might as well paint a target on my back. :? If I'm wearing a red shirt, I'm in engineering.

Q: Wedding gift for TnT? How about Malcolm and Hoshi?

Trip and T'Pol - a honeymoon on Risa, somewhere realtively isolated, but warm and beautiful.

Malcolm and Hoshi? Somewhere lots of languages are spoken, with a weapons testing facility nearby?

Q: What do you think Andorean cuisine might be like?

an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

I think it would resemble the food we have in Scandinavian nations or even Russia.

Q: What would you name your pet sehlat? Would you be brave enough to have one? Would you forget to feed it?

Zihik. :D
Sure, why not - as long as I'm not late with his dinner, everything should be OK...
I assume Vulcans feed their sehlats some kind of synthetic protein, otherwise they'd have to kill to feed them.

Q: Would you sign onto a Boomer cargo ship?

:guffaw: That's fantastic!

Cargo ship: no, there's just not enough to keep me interested in that. Not much use for historians, anyway, and I wouldn't want to raise my theoretical kids in space.

The best pet has to Spot... Data's cat... no other pet has managed to take out a senior officer and make the rest want to carry phasers.

Question:

Q. I have been reading many TnT fics recently and many of them clearly state that Star Fleet has a non-Frat rule. I have also just watched "Breaking the Ice" where Archer and the Bridge crew address a school class and he says that dating is allowed just not always private.

Did this non-frat rule appear in later eps or is it a writers tool to create tension and drama.

And fyi these are the following permitted relationships that I know of:

Trois/Riker
Trois/Worf
Data/Tasha
Picard/Crusher
Data/and the other female whom he screwed it up with.
Paris/Torres
Dax/Worf

Anyway, I am only on "Dear Doctor" so I have 3 and half seasons before I see if there are any other relationships in ENT.

If you are a direct superior to the person you're dating, that's a big no-no. For example, in TnT's case, both T'Pol and Trip are in the chain of command (as second and third in command, respectively). If they were to get in a relationship, Starfleet would see that as a "conflict of interest". What if T'Pol has to order Trip into a situation where he might be killed? Granted, she's a Vulcan, but...still.

That would apply if Archer and T'Pol ever got together (don't shoot me, just another example) because they're both command officers are well. The alternative for either TnT or AinT would be either a) suspend the relationship or b)one of them gets reassigned to another place so they're not in the same chain of command. That's the reason why Archer broke it off with Erika Hernandez (of Columbia) because he became her superior officer.

Excuse me, Lady Rainbow, but what you say... isn't it, by any chance, what normally happens in real life? :?
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Yeah, that's how the real-life military sees things. :? In a potential wartime situation/conflict, you can't have personal feelings get in the way of your duty. (That's the theory, anyway).

That's why in a lot of fics, you see TnT run into some trouble with the no-frat rules. They'd have to prove they can be objective enough.
