I hate the stupid princess fishstick. The plot was like totally horrible and her absolute lack of acting skills DOESN'T HELP A BIT!!! So yeah ewwwww.

lol, I've got to be the only TnT'er who liked Precious Cargo because I liked the pairing. I mean before T'Pol! What this episode made me love even more was the resurgance of the character in somebody's fic (help me out) where Trip and T'Pol's son actually falls in love with Princess Kaitama's daughter.

Plus, I kind of like this episode because I think for continuity's sake, it resembles, and should have been written to more CLOSELY resemble, the shape-shifting race that we saw on TNG on the episode where Wesley Crusher fell in love with that chick who was going to be Queen or Premier or whatever. It would have been cool to have seen an earlier encounter between Starfleet and that race, one where we had no clue (but the viewers put it together if they used the same race name) that these people were shapeshifters. It would have jived then with them finding out in surprise in that TNG episode that they were shapshifters.

It would also be kind of funny that Trip got it on with a giant hairy beast that gave Worf a run for his money .

Well, Fishstick was the same race as Kamala (Famke Janssen ) in TNG's The Perfect Mate. So there was that continuity. Granted they didn't make anything of it... and Kaitaama was certainly no Famke Janssen.

well we only saw a smattering of the 100 or so planets that made up the federation during kirks time.
