We came home from Mass this afternoon and found my son's pet goldfish dead in his tank. Merry Christmas, kid, your pet is dead.

Besides that we had a nice day!

yeah it was a big shock... heart attack. Some people I know were like guaranteeing it was an OD, but I haven't heard anything like that.

yeah I know, it's not common, though... I guess it was definitely a judgment. I read some stuff online that the speculation came because she's been rapidly losing weight recently.

I won't be at all surprised if they decide anorexia put too much strain on her heart.

I'd heard that her husband and family said she'd been suffering flu-like symptoms. I wondered if maybe the H1N1 got her.

Well it was a tragedy no matter what happened. I actually had a friend who died of a heart attack at 15. He had a heart defect, I thought I heard she had a heart murmur.

I had a friend/former roommate who died of heart problems before he was 35. He had to get a physical for a new job when he was 30, and they discovered he had a leaky valve. Had a valve replacement surgery...but was kind of, I don't know, angry after that. Didn't quit smoking or drinking tons of caffeine, and he kept up with his back-breaking blue-collar work instead of taking advantage of an opportunity to get some education. He was working at a bar and he went downstairs to get something, and when he didn't come back, they found him dead on the floor.

Poor Britney Murphy had health problems - and she did have some prescription drugs in her medicine cabinet - but it seems as though she had been sick and her Mom was taking care of her. No foul play or even illegal drug use is suspected. It was deemed natural causes. But it is very sad when someone so young passes away suddenly. She was great in Clueless and Girl, Interrupted.
