I had a hilarious thought today as I did additional research for my Endeavour series - I wonder if I'm going to show up on a Watch list for the NSA. Seriously, the sites that I've been looking at, and the things I've been searching for ... atomic/fission bombs, MIRVs, radiation effects of an atomic weapon, fallout, etc. I have this amusing image of my online identity popping up on some NSA computer causing a moment of mild panic ... and then, some geek that works there sees the word "Romulan" and knows what's going on...

At Rigil Kent's preliminary hearing:

"No, see Your Honour, it was all just research stuff for my Star Trek Fanfiction universe. No, really! See, okay, it goes like this.......
......
.........and then these two buttmunches just shoot down the entire series for spite! For SPITE, Your Honour! And so you can see why I, and others like me, have to go forth and research advanced weaponry and so forth on the internet, in order to correct (or at least slightly soothe) the abominable feelings of wasted talent that all Trekkies, as a race, now must share. It's a community service more than anything...."

Somehow I couldn't picture him testifying like that. I think it would be more like:

So... Whatever happened to the freedom of information act, eh? Kiss my @$$.

Nah. I'm one of those Evil Conservatives (TM) that are out to conquer the world.

I would give them some funny looks and point to my extensive sci-fi book collection, as well as my numerous sci-fi gaming material and the big ass American flag that's hanging on the wall in my room. Might consider pointing out that I tried to re-enlist with the Army after 9/11 but discovered my knee is too fraked up to be accepted again.

Of course, the rug thing I bought in Saudi back in '91 my get in trouble...

Well if you do....I'll vouch for you. I was stationed at Ft. Meade when in the Army....and at one point and time worked at NSA.

Just in case anyone will be wondering where I've gone, I'll be going on a business trip (though I'd rather go on a business t'pol Embarassed I know, bad pun) for the next couple of days. I'll be back online on Thursday evening. Wave

*deep breathes *

Ok....I am so sick of the maturity levels of the people I work with.

I have one thing that is an absolute no no.....and that is DO NOT mess with my stuff....especially my food.
I don't care if we laugh or joke around....but I don't want my stuff to be messed with. Period end of story.
Today at work someone (not quite sure who but I have my suspessions) took a banana I had bought in the cafeteria and hid it from me.
If it were anything else like say my cup or my pen I'd probably laugh it off.

But my food? Come on...what are we 2? Jesus.
1st off that's unsanitary...2nd of all why are you taking someone else's stuff?
My parents taught me never to touch other peoples things with out their permission.
It's just rude.

I know it's just a banana....but I have had things taken from me in the past....just this past weekend they took my shoe and stuck it on a shelf so that I couldn't reach it. Normally I would have been like whatever....but I needed to pee and there was NO way in hell I was walking barefoot on the nasty bathroom floors at work.

After today I almost walked out and quit....and I am not even kidding.....I still am entertaining the thought.

Am I being unreasonable??

Thing is....I'm not sure if talking to my boss would help or not
