It is great to have offspring become independent with a career of their own. Did I say independent? My daughter was just over tonight to borrow money to fill her gas tank so she could get to work tomorrow. And it looks like I will have to pay some school fees for the grand kids. Hey, I am retired as is my husband and both my daughter and son-in-law are working full time. What is wrong with this picture?

Oops. Sounds like somebody forgot to make a budget, or maybe just didn't stick to the one they made. Sounds like my kids.

On a lighter note, its rumored to have rained about 5.5 inches here today. I thought I saw an old guy paddle by in a large boat with a couple of giraffes' heads sticking out. Of course being stuck inside means its Jelly Day. We steamed our blackberries and ended up with 24 cups of juice which should translate to roughly 30 or so half pints of jelly (we took a couple of cups out for blackberry vinaigrette). Oh and we had some extra red raspberries so 9 half pints are sitting on the table behind me. Wife and I have also got to spend the day with both kinds of music blarin' you know country and western. Hee hee, hope I never grow up.
