Maybe Aquarius will have an opinion on this. My hair was a natural-looking red color that was fading, so I did a touch-up with a really extreme "pomegranate" red but there wasn't enough hair dye to pull through the rest of my hair after touching up the roots. The result? A really striking dyed-red color on the top half of my hair and a natural looking orange-ish color on the bottom. I should even it out but it looks so . . . bold? Kind of goth. Like, yeah it's fake, it's purple, but so what?

I have to go to a wedding. Even my kids are evenly divided. Like wow cool, I like it, wait! I don't know . . .

Next time you're thinking of buying a house, make sure somebody didn't use it as a meth lab:

(from the New York Times)...

Meth contamination can bring financial ruin to families like that of Francisca Rodriguez. The family dog began having seizures nine days after the Rodriguezes moved into their home in Grapevine, Tex., near Dallas, and their 6-year-old son developed a breathing problem similar to asthma, said Ms. Rodriguez, 35, a stay-at-home mother of three.

After learning from neighbors that the three-bedroom ranch-style home had been a known “drug house,” the family had it tested. The air ducts had meth levels more than 100 times higher than the most commonly cited limit beyond which cleanup is typically required.

The former owner had marked “no” on a disclosure form asking whether the house had ever been a meth lab, Ms. Rodriguez said. But because he is now in prison for meth possession, among other things, the Rodriguezes decided there was nothing to gain by suing him. They moved out, throwing away most of their possessions because they could not be cleaned, and are letting the house go into foreclosure.

“It makes you crazy,” Ms. Rodriguez said. “Our credit is ruined, we won’t be able to buy another house, somebody exposed my kids to meth, and my dog died.”

OK, I will be "gone" for a week. I put it in quotation marks because I will probably end up paying an outrageous sum to get online somehow, but in case I decide to be good

My nephew is getting married in Jamaica!

Have a great time, JT!

Alelou, geez, I think poor Francisca Rodriguez should sue anyway! At least get a lawyer to help work on getting her credit back. There must be some way to get consumer protection for cases like this, you would think! :(
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

I remember that night.
The memory never will fade away.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

If you want to keep it (I'm all for awesome hair!), have you thought of going to a salon and asking if they can style it for the wedding in a way that will take advantage of the new color but look less punky for the occasion?

Rock the purple-- it certainly will fade pretty quickly, like all red-based dyes. And if, for any reason, you want to help it along, the Neutrogena "Clean" shampoos are known as color-killers (well, that, or dish soap, but I'd go with the "clean" since it won't destroy your hair... I, and many other people I know have ruined perfectly good dye jobs thanks to that shampoo!)

Okay, wow... I missed this post somehow.

Uh...what did you end up doing?

Well, Emberchild is right, all reds fade, so I didn't panic. Also, since I was going swimming everyday in Jamaica, I knew it would fade fast, so I reapplied the purple all over, lol . . . Now, a week later it's perfect, as in perfectly normal. But it was kind of fun being different. Before I redid it, I got several spontanous compliments, from high school age kids, including the girl at the Wendy's drive-through. :)

I think that "outrageously red" is a good way to go as I get old. I mean I don't want to be claiming I'm something I'm not. If the color is unnatural then no one will think I'm trying to pretend I don't have grey hair.
