Well, duh!!! In fact, Leonard Nimoy at the last convention I was at said exactly the same thing. Someone asked, "Why wasn't there more religion in Star Trek?" And Nimoy said, "Because Gene Roddenberry was a humanist," and then Nimoy elaborated on this theme giving specific examples.

LOL! I should go look up the rest of these, but I have to go to bed. I stained the front and back decks today and as a result I can hardly move.

I also tried uploading photos to Snapfish, and it's running as if I'm on dial-up, or worse. It takes at least two tries to get each page to load, and then it's slow as mud. For me, it's essentially become unusable. And of course there's no way in all their help topics to ask them about THAT issue.

Hubs bought some new summer shoes for my three year old son. He wanted another pair, but that was more expensive. A couple days after we bought the shoes, my son comes home, takes off his shoes and then.. the shoes are gone. Hubs asked him if he didn't like the shoes and hide them and son says yes. We look in closets, under his bed - no shoes. Then I asked him "where did you hide your shoes". He says "In the trash can." And my son walks to the trash can on the balcony. Bye bye shoes. We bought the shoes that he liked. There are very nice, colorful red with cars. He sure has taste.

Ha, ha! Yes, shoes are very important to little boys. I finally gave in and bought my boys their expensive shoes since it was the only item of clothing they ever wore that was expensive. They were pretty much content to wear (free) Boys and Girls Club t-shirts with athletic pants every day of their life. It was the expensive shoes that made the whole outfit work.

OH! And when they were little, they liked baggy clothes, but luckily that look went out of style in their later high school years. But the upside was they NEVER grew out of their clothes. Basically they wore size medium men's t-shirts for their whole lives up to the present lol . . .

I got out of class and went straight to the cafeteria to watch the match. The place was packed and the crowd was definitely divided: a bunch of depressed Brazil supporters (like me) and a bunch of Holland supporters (who were mostly Argentina fans, really). And I am very sad that Brazil lost...
