http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4.6x30mm there is a comparison table between the 4.6mm and the 5.7mm.

Ah yes, I see. It's just hard to believe an even smaller cartridge would be a man-stopper... but... then again, they said the same about .223!

Hypothetically, if one man had to kill 5 quicly in a small space avoid hitting two friendlies, and the bad guys had the rifles you told me about. What kind of guns would he need to be fast.

Which ones when you said "the rifles you told me about" ? The Mosin Nagant M91/30, the Russian 1900's bolt action?

What's 'small space' you mean, too? Like in feet or meters.

In a small room a revolver and hand to hand combat are the only options.

Hmm. Yes to Elessar's gun question... How small???? Well a basement, maybe 400 square feet. Sorry I can't convert to meters.

Well it depends on the time period, is that why u said revolver, u were assuming she meant long time ago? Today... an SMG... close quarters they'll be plenty accurate enough.

If you were afraid of collateral damage, I guess, I'd say a modern autoloader pistol in .45ACP like a H&K USP Tactical or a Wilson Combat 1911 :)

I would get up close and personal with the first hostile, neutralize him an use him as a shield to take out the other four using a revolver if there is no possible way to take cover. I'm assuming it's the Romanov era.

oh in a small room? And back in the day like that? And Russian people? Either a TT-33 or TTC Tokarev pistol in 7.62x25mm or an 1898 Nagant revolver in 7.62 Nagant (approximately .32ACP).

You know I wish I could make this a straight up knife fight. There is a reason I prefer baldes anf hand to hand to guns. Guns are complicated and messy. Anyway I have a challenge for you Elessar... Name all of the guns used in the Matrix Trilogy... I bet you that you can't so it! :poke:

And yeah it's the Romanov era. I'm writing a novel, oh how dumb am I? Oh and the year is 1906

I've heard there's an alternative history book where a guy takes an AK47 back to the Civil War and totally changes the course of history with one weapon by winning the war for the south.

The TT was developed in the 1920s and didn't exist yet.
