Have you read the book, or are you basing that on "Melrose Space" ... aka the Starship Troopers In Name Only movie? I find more in common with the fascist government of STINO and the communist 24th century Federation than you might expect.
And they are doing a new STINO movie. Jolene is in it (and it'll go straight to DVD like the second one).
I guess CX and I have just interacted with an entirely different breed of Trek fans than some of you in regards to the military.

No. I recommend you reread my comment: "I find more in common with the fascist government of STINO and the communist 24th century Federation than you might expect." Before that, I defined STINO as "Starship Troopers In Name Only", or the Melrose Space movie which, frankly, bears very little resemblance to the actual book apart from using a name here or there (and even then, getting most of them wrong.)

What is the purpose of spam, seriously?
In understand it's a fact of life, and am fairly used to just clicking huge chunks of mail from my inbox and deleting it. But what would make someone "write" 123 pieces of the same sentence and flooding fanfiction.net?
Thus far there are 20+ "stories" in the StarTrek: Deep Space Nine, StarTrek: The Next Generation, StarTrek: Enterprise, Star Wars, and Naruto sections all with the same nonsense.
It's so useless. Plus, it takes time. Why devote your time to such idiocy?

I would say its the same person but this guy is a little more creative -- varrying what he types in each section and whatnot.
Plus, he even links his homepage to a wiki article on Schadenfreude, a German word meaning 'pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune'.
The irony of it should be funny but instead its just annoying. And wrong. If this is what these people do for fun what do they do on bad days?
