I just passed my placement test for collegeI don't have to take all the extra classes.
I scored 110% in English, but only 85 in math.
CONGRATS, that is a huge relief, let me tell you. If you're in a math-related field (any science, engineering, comp sci, or math) you'll have less trouble having to take Calc 1/2 in college (which I have been informed is somewhere between being drawn & quartered and an acid bath). If you're not in one of those related fields, it's just a huge pain in the ass you don't have to deal with, so congrats!
What were you able to opt out of by doing that? College Algebra/Trig/Calc1/Calc2 ? When I started as a freshman I failed the Trig. placement test (which normally means you have to take a "refresher" course (trig with a firehose) but I aced the Calc 1/2 placement so they waived it. Whew!
Just about everybody fails the trig placement here... It's insanity.
Don't have to take any refresher classes. I can go strait to the accounting classes. Big relief.
I was actually going for a Microsoft cert., an office assistant cert, and then a CIS degree. Hopefully I can test out of HTML, keyboarding, and a few others as well. I was thinking about just getting W3C certified anyway.

http://www.halwani.com.sa/hbproducts/halawa.html it is really good. I only get my hands on it if a friend or family brings it from Egypt which is very rarely. They do make it in my country and in some EU countries but it is not the same as the real stuff it is usually hard whereas the real stuff you can eat with a spoon.
You live for The One, you die for The One.

Re: The Happy News thread
Ahh, christmas and another HUGE WORKLOAD!!!
Still, from that pile I can now (almost) cross of the following;
Installation of 10 iMacs and associated LAN infrastructure.
Server for the above (this is a BIG puppy. 1.45TB (yes, thats Terrabytes) of space on RAID 0 with ext3, which took 10+ hours just to format!)
I love christmas! Everything slows down now.
On a happier note, I'm seeing Dara Ó Briain LIVE!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?
