Re: Randomness
Sounds like a boarding house to me.
Re: Randomness
It's a zoo.
Gah I'm soooo frelling tired. Last night those 2 chicks came in at like 12:30am, everyone in the room was sleeping and what do they do, start rearranging their frelling stuff!!! Noise and mess everywhere especially frelling crisp noisy plastic bags and they were at it for like an hour
woke everyone up. Well except for Alarm Clock Lady who sleeps through anything
then at like 5am one of them (in the top bunk above me) just like totally falls off the top bunk
rolled in all the blankets and sheets and everything
well hilarious (and I'd say well deserved
) but still woke me up
well actually I woke up like a little before she actually fell (so I managed to witness the whole presentation
) because of how she frelling shook the bed really bad.
THEN at like 7am I'm still trying to fall asleep but those 2 chicks get up, and what the frell did they rearrange their frelling stuff for in the middle of the night waking everyone up, they just did the frelling same all over again!!!
So I couldn't fall asleep and then I had to frelling get up anyway!!!!

Re: Randomness
Is it really a zoo? Do you all, like, board there and tend the beasts in the deep Mayan jungles or something? Honestly, I really am curious as to what the scenario is where you are. Is it a boarding house? What the frick is it? A commune???? (No, then there'd be less booze and more weed...hmmm...). What is with the underage people and the middleage people? It sounds like you're in some kind of weird prison. Are you in some kind of weird prison?

Re: Randomness
Okay, I go away for 10 days and the hosting service for this site went and changed the look of the control panel during that time, so now I have to figure out where they moved everything to... Sigh.
Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...
How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

Re: Randomness
Be grateful JK. At least they've done something. Makes a pleasant change.
How was the cruise?

Dude. Here's some more nicknames from the zoo
So last night my friend and I were talking again and we made up some more nicknames. So now Obi's friend's name is Grievous (from Star Wars as well
) because she breathes pretty much like that frelled up respiratory system of his because she's a heavy smoker.
And I think like the best nickname of the bunch goes to my "friend" who's in the same room with Obi and Grievous. Yet another Star Wars one. We call her Darth Vader
well because it suits her so perfectly because she used to be like a totally sweet person when she just moved here from Atlanta, really nice and all, reading her bible all the time etc. Kinda naive as well. But since then she like totally crossed to the dark side, now she's like a party girl like the rest of them and we don't even talk anymore because she's just too unpleasant for me to be around, patronizing me etc. Same with my friend he used to like talking to her but she treats him the same now.
Like the other day she just like totally snapped at me for giving her her mail.
Sigh.
And the best part like this morning there was a Star Wars movie playing in the TV room, then I'm downstairs and I hear the Darth Vader theme playing, and who's walking down the stairs and into the hallway if not Darth Vader herself!!!

Roswell again! He Saw the Bodies
So, what do you think? Actual alien encounter followed by government cover up? Or total lunacy by people wanting their 15 minutes?

Re: Randomness
The cruise was (for the most part) very nice. I could have done without the crazy cat lady at our table, however. It's pretty bad when people from other tables come over and tell you, "I feel your pain" because you're stuck sitting next to some woman who talks about her 37 cats and her gastric surgery and whatnot while you're trying to eat and then announces to the whole table that she's selling everything she gets from the cruise on ebay for her cause (a pet rescue), and would Connor sign this and that for her for free for her to sell? That part was not fun at all.
Though I did find it ironic that the guy I was talking to in the casino (who was there as a friend of one of the Buffy fans, he wasn't a big fan himself) turned out to be from Columbus, OH, and happens to work in my hometown several days each week, at the same place where my Dad used to work before they shipped DESC off to Columbus 14 years ago, except this guy works for Homeland Security and not the Defense Department like Dad did...
And yes, I suppose I shouldn't complain that they did something about the control panel. Though it would be nice if they would fix it so we knew how much memory we've actually used between the site and the board too. That would be very helpful, if you ask me...

Re: Randomness
^
Well, technically it made it a fun week, since we were stuck with her the entire time we were there... and we were officially sanctioned by those in charge to keep her from Connor as much as possible because she stated on the very first night that she intended to hit him up for donations or his support or autographs or something for this pet rescue she runs once she got close to him...
So those at our table let Joe and company know what was going on with her, and one of the ladies at the table (not part of our group, but one of the others sitting there) let her friend who was sitting with Connor the first half of the trip know about the cat lady's plans so her friend could warn Connor about her, and we knew that Connor had been told by someone (whether by her friend or Joe and company, I don't know) the day before our group got to sit with him, because he said to us on the train (after doing a quick glance around the train car) "I've been warned." One of us, I don't remember which, said "About what?" And he gave us a knowing look and said, "I think you already know exactly what I'm talking about." At which point I nodded and said "Yes" and left it at that, and then we talked about other things.
But yeah, the cat lady would not shut up. One night both NX-Oner and I sat on either side of her to try and curtail her discussion of inappropriate topics somewhat, since she's a vet and I work part-time in a pet store, so we could (quite honestly) say that we really didn't care to discuss pets and the like because that was work for us, and we were on vacation. I ended up next to that lady 3 times out of the 7 dinners, though... definitely not fun.
