Awww... did somebody wake up grumpy this morning?

Oh... it's you, Rigil. Never mind.

Here's a hug, anyway.

When I've made quilts/blankets in the past, I found that quilt binding (found at any fabric store in the trim area) is really helpful, and baby blanket binding is nice and satiny and soft. You just pin the backing to the blanket, surround it all by the binding, and sew it down (and I would suggest tacking the blanket down at other points near the center and edges.
Of course, if you're pressed for time, you can see if your local dry cleaner/tailor can do it for you. One girl that I work with just finished knitting a jacket, but since she can't sew, took it to the dry cleaner to get it lined. for $15, she had a perfectly lined jacket in a very short period of time.
Hey great idea!
I didn't even think of doing that!

Post that reply over at DDN and I'll Karma you for it! lol

I rarely, if ever, forget to eat. I just don't get it when people do that. How do you forget to eat? Doesn't the growling of your stomach remind you?

Re: The Whine thread.
Just spent the entire afternoon in the ER waiting to get about 2-4 stitches for a small cut I got on my chin.
I was apparently fast-tracked because it was a simple fix. Heavens knows how long the slow-track people waited.
(surprise, surprise... I fell while skating. Even got blood on the ice
. My coach and I just wanted to throw on a bandaid and keep going, but the rink staff said that the location would need stitches to keep closed (since it always opens when you talk and eat...) and sent me on my merry way. Wimps, all of them! Now, if only I fell while doing something cool, like an axel
, and not losing my balance while kneeling on the ice)

Re: The Whine thread.
Ouch, that sucks.
I've done my share of waiting in ER's for realitvely simple things and it's maddening. I've learned to bring homework (if I"m good) and a book (If I'm not good but am more likely to read).

WTF!?!

I dropped a hammer on my foot today and nearly broke one of my toes.

I got to use said block-hammer to remove a built in cupboard from the kitchen. Very therapeutic.

StarTrek.com has a banner advertising Shuttlepod One on iTunes, and the picture they use is T'Pol bending to kiss Reed. In his dream. That just annoys me because it's such an obvious ploy, meanwhile it didn't even happen. Grr.

Re: The Whine thread.
It's coming from the same people who wanted to pass T'Pol around to the male leads like she was some sort of trophy, or thought that her ridiculous "uniform" was a good idea. Are you really surprised?

Last time I was in the ER, wrote a fan fic, but this time I didn't have any paper

I usually try to avoid going to the ER unless absolutely necessary (which is why it took two weeks for the gash on my leg from two Saturdays ago to heal-- apparently, my doc said that I had needed stitches

Note to self: carry paper everywhere

I remember that scene. Ew. Almost as creepy as the "Night in Sickbay" debacle (I made the mistake of watching that episode recently thinking I must have overreacted my first time through. Won't do that again).
Come to think of it, just how many people dreamt about T'Pol or used her dreams against her (like Tolaris)? In all fairness, I suppose T'Pol was dreaming up a storm herself in season three. But she was actually "on" something. Is there a count of how many ENT dream sequences there are?
I'm thinking Chef laces people's food when he's annoyed with them.

Did you mutter "Die hammer, die!" while you swung? That would've helped me.
Emberchyld wrote:Note to self: carry paper everywhere
Yes, do. Especially since you have the motivation to actually write. I can recall a handful of times when I brought paper, knowing I'd be waiting somewhere for a while. 95% of the time I ended up doodling or leaving the pad in the car. The other 5% of the time I actually managed to write down a mini-scene but then lost the paper before I could do anything with it. I'm pathetic, I know.
