Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

That's great, Distracted! Enjoy your breather! (I learned that I could get a lot done-- and enjoy the guilty pleasure of daytime tv and cheezy fashion magazines-- when I was confined to a sofa for 1.5 months) Quick and easy healing vibes are being sent your way.
Linda wrote:Hey, Emberchyld, less knitting, more stories!
Yup, I've sadly found that knitting has replaced some of my best story-writing time. Some of my better stories were started/finished on airplanes, but I've found that people staring at me knitting is less irksome than someone reading over my shoulder and then giving me wierd "Oh, a Trekkie person" looks.
But Valentine's Day is coming up... and the T/T fanfic machine will probably start picking up again...

I don't knit and when someone is reading over my shoulder and then giving me weird "Oh, a Trekkie person" looks, as you say... Well! I'm proud!

Tell the person reading over your shoulder to "Get a life".

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Maybe you'll get to Cape York?

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Z'Val is going to be finished before I leave, I'm almost certain. Maybe a sequel will come out, with a trip to Australia.evcake wrote:Z'Val should like the Outback - it looks like Vulcan to me.

I don't think I'll get to Cape York, but I don't really want to so much. Other places are more appealing to me.

Re: The Happy News thread
Thanks, Emberchyld - congratulations are in order for you too! Now you just need to keep some free time to enjoy the raise.
I'll skip the rat-eating plant, along with the human-eating saltwater crocs. That northern area also has dengue fever now and again (2 cases in 2006, but I worry a lot) and the CDC recommends a vaccine for something else if you're going to Cape York. Japanese enciphilitus or something like that.

Congratulations Jadziakathyrn. Don't worry about the dengue fever. I've had that. It just makes you very, very tired for a week. You'll be fine. ENJOY YOUR sojourn in Australia. Sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime.
