Dinner at the Hog Trough tonight. It makes money off me as I only go around once. (all you can eat for one price, Hog Trough) However, most get their money's worth and then some.

what is amusing: they go around three times maybe more, then finish with a big dish of Ice Cream and Cake and finally and dab of sugar Free Jello. So, they can say they just had a few bites and ended with some Sugar Free Jello.

Love to watch when I am there seeing these Moose waddle around loading up their plates.

LOL! And you're gonna outlive em all! Talk about the last laugh! good for you.

I remember back in the day going out with all The Boys (I never had girl-friends...hiskool girls are lame) to Uncle Willy's - an all-you-can-eat, the potatoes-are-powdered kinda place. The guys would weigh themselves at home first and then we'd go eat and then they'd weigh in again at home and whoever gained the most "won"....i would eat a normal amt and just sit there rolling my eyes at these disgusting gorillas. Story of at least the first 5 years of my relationship with my husband. :guffaw:

Ek from your wedding pic I would not characterize your hubby as one of those. You are kinda lucky if you don't mind me making a completely objective observation.

I know. I wanna fly too. Can you tell I've been referred to as a harpy myself?

Went to Santa Monica California for Spring Break. We used that as our base and visited Hollywood, Beverly Hills, LA, Disney Land, etc. Fun trip. I have a friend who works for Harmony Gold, a company that distributes and re-dubs Japanese animation programs (among other things) and he gave us a tour around the office and gave us some really cool collectibles including a couple of animation cells from Robotech. On our final evening we went to a lovely restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean at sunset (*sigh*) and Steven Speilberg was there having a dinner meeting with about 8 other guys. I recognised him right away. My husband was totally star-struck and freaked out, which was hilarious because he doesn't get they way! I have to admit, I was too, because after al it was  STEVEN SPEILBERG  and we are huge fans of his work. On the way out I briefly stopped at his table and thanked him for all his work. He smiled back at us, probably wondering who the heck these weirdos were. Just HAD to say something!

Cool! Um... I can tell you from personal experience he didn't think you were weird. See my daddy had a plumbing business on Long Island and worked almost exclusively in the hamptons. Mr. Speilberg was one of his best clients. So although I never met him, my mother had lots of times. He was one of her favorites. My uncle has the business now, and he's still a client. So don't feel silly.

COOL!!!!!!

Thanks for that! He DID give us a really nice smile!

From my very limited experience with celebrities, most seem to appreciates a "thanks, I really enjoy your work," comments to gushing praise and requests for autographs and pictures, unless it's a convention kind of thing.

According to the family if you ask about his work like an average person he'll be very open. But of course he doesn't care for being mobbed in the local bagle place. But that never happens in my old neighborhood anyway. Like I said my mom liked their family. Especially his wife. I could have met them all once and swam in the pool but I stayed home to do school work.

Whelp, big test I have to take today. Cost me $145 total to sign up for it, and it's going to take me 8 hours to take it. And it starts at 7 AM, which is kind of early for most college students used to having maybe a 9 AM class at the earliest.

It's over everything I'm supposed to have learned in my college career, which in this case has spanned almost 10 years. Bummer is that I don't think I've studied nearly enough, and I've ended up working on pretty much every night that there's been a review session. I hope I pass, but I really doubt that I will at this point. I just don't know things well enough for the kind of extremely controlled setting of this test. Hell, I can't even use the calculator I'm used to using, as only very specific ones are allowed in the test. Fortunately all that's hinging on this test is the money I spent on it and the time that's been spent on it. It isn't required to graduate, as I was at first under the impression of, but rather it's just an extra certification I could put on my resume in the hopes that a company might be more willing to hire me.

Did I mention that I couldn't get to sleep until some time after midnight this morning? Yeah, today's gonna suck. :(
