Cogito's picture shows pretty clearly that the magazine is in the handle and therefore a change to a longer magazine with more rounds doesn't require any modifications to the weapon itself. The longer magazine however would have to be highly modified, since the picture shows that the bottom of the standard magazine contains the locking mechanism, which keeps it from dropping out of the handle. This mechanism would have to be in the middle section of a modified, longer magazine.

LOL. Did you notice how long they'd been together before they decided to tie the knot? Maybe they figured they'd better do the deed quickly before either of them had to explain directly to the Big Guy Himself why they hadn't made it legal yet. ;-)

Ah yes, I remember that. I subscribed to Starlog during "the classic years" and still have all those issues stored away. It was my window to science fiction when growing up. :thumbsup:

I bought several of those as a teenager. I think my mom threw most of them out and I cut up a few for my Mark Hamill scrapbook. Those were the days. 8)

Oh man, I used to get those. I remember the very one they picture there. At one point the Garden State Plaza (the biggest mall in Paramus, NJ) even had a Starlog store. I would have been just crazy about that in my adolescence, but I wasn't much of a customer by the time it came along.
