The handwritten sign was found at a music festival and the translation is: All wind instruments players who do not have a music stand yet, please go upstairs and get yourself one

Well, um..., German language has a rather nasty habit of using completely unrelated words in slang language. For instance 'music stand' is a euphemism for an erection. So - and I'm not kidding - this is the same sentence when you translate the words in their respective slang meanings

And it's not even regional slang. That double meaning is noticed by all Germans. I wonder if they somehow managed to miss how everyone had a giggle-fit when reading that sign

Somehow I seriously doubt that the double entendre was not intentional. I'm betting some college music major waited all year for the music festival just so he could have a legitimate reason to post that sign.

I think so,too. It's just too perfect. The sign relly reads a perfectly sound and decent sentence. The word Bläser means someone, who's playing a wind instrument, like a trumpet, trombone or flute, but its slang meaning is someone rendereing oral gratification. The word 'Ständer' means any sort of stand. In this case it's the stand you put your notes on, but it's slang meaning is an erection. 'Einen runterholen', means either fervently masturbating (in slang) or to fetch an object from somewhere above from where you're standing. It's a brilliant peace of wording. A simple sentence can have a perfectly decent meaning, but it can also be grossly inappropriate without changing a single letter.

On a totally unrelated note, is anyone else watching Castle? I just watched Monday's episode on TIVO. SQUEEEEE!!!! My Castle/Beckett shipper's heart just went into palpitations!!!!

I just watched it too (On demand...) Yes! They didn't jump the shark -- they were brave -- they're letting their story evolve -- hoorah for them!

Also, what a beautifully shot episode. It ought to win an Emmy just on the technical aspects.

Also, Nathan Fillion was GREAT. What a declaration!

(Only caveat -- I thought the dangling off the rooftop bit was just a bit too much -- almost like they decided to do a little parody of their usual endings before they set us up for the real one.)

Isn't he a darling? I fell in love with him in Firefly. In that last scene the expression on his face was priceless. It was almost as good as Trip's expression in Harbinger when T'Pol dropped the robe. He does totally flabbergasted quite well. And recovers nicely.

And if she does an about face in the next episode like T'Pol did we are seriously going to need another television because there will be a TV controller, a cell phone, a candlestick, a paperweight, or whatever else relatively heavy that happens to be handy stuck permanently through and through the screen of this one.

And yeah, the dangling was entirely too predictable.

Well, the ex. producer Marlowe says they're not going back, and yeah, what it looked like was what it really was.

They plan to explore the relationship, and agree it would have been stupid if they'd tried to draw it out any longer. This is why Castle is a show I don't need to write fanfic for. (Not sure I would even if it wasn't, but I've never felt the tiniest urge ... and I can distinctly remember when such urges have overcome me in the past, and it's when I just can't stand something being left alone.)

Course there's still that pesky risk of being murdered out there...
