And I'm glad your daughter's knee is all better.

My husband went in for that eight years ago and ended up in ICU with aspiration pneumonia. That was definitely not one of the high points of my life, especially since I had to start demanding to know what the hell was going on because everyone else was coming out and going home and he wasn't. Then I had to insist the next day that they give him oxygen because after they moved him upstairs and left him lying in a bed in the corridor for a few hours, the nurse decided to fixate on the knee and ignore that pesky little pneumonia. Gah!!!!!

God help anyone who lands in the hospital sick and ALONE.

My daughter had a knee operation.
Today.
Everything worked well. :)
Tomorrow she will be back to home.
Now I'm quiet.
And I can work again on "Depth" Part three. :D

No wonder your mind has been somewhere else. I hope your daughter feels better soon. I am glad she will be back quickly.

I wish your daughter a swift recovery from her operation, Asso! It is hard on a parent to see a child sick or in pain (and they are always your 'child', even when they are adults). But take care of yourself too, don't make yourself ill from worrying!
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Thanks to everyone!
My daughter is recovering swiftly.
Now... has someone any advice for a father in order to NOT argue with his daughter when she is at home? :?
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Just don't say anything. Smile and bite your tongue. And bring her ice cream. People recovering from knee surgery just love ice cream. :D

I hide behind my wife a lot. If that fails, I bring in her brother.

Mother and daughter: a holy alliance.
And my wife doesn't have brothers!

I mean my daughter's brother, my son. Her little brother always disarms her and provides a valuable distraction. At least long enough for me to make a swift retreat.

You could go write fanfic and let Trip and T'Pol do all the arguing instead...

Hope your daughter recovers quickly. :)
My happy news: I am home at last, in my own house, with my own feline companion, sitting at my own laptop.
:happyjump:
Seven weeks, as opposed to the two I thought I would be gone...sh*t happens, especially to me. Lately. Still tethered to a Wound-Vac, but only for two more weeks. :)
