Interesting. Will you fix it up and move on in a year?

Re: The Happy News thread
Enterprikayak, what the heck is a rain tower? Is it a place you go to when the flood water starts filling up your ground level residence? Sounds like a great place to live in if you really enjoy water! We have had so much flooding in Wisconsin this spring and summer that I'm kinda sensitive to excess water - even though I love water.
JT and Lady Rainbow, thanks for the ego stroke, I have so few comments on my writing compared to others that I was beginning to think my stories were an 'acquired taste', as they say about stuff that tastes weird, LOL.

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

Re: The Happy News thread
The rain tower collects rain in it and then you can use it for bathing/irrigating/etc. There's a small well too. Priso's busy getting his Dad excited as we'll need a bit of help while doing it and then we can fully pay him back. There is some seasonal flooding, but the current buldings are on a high spot and are over 100 years old. If we built anything, we'd take flooding into account, and build on stilts a wee bit. I think in 30 years, the rising ocean may be a problem, but we'd only keep it for like 8 years and find something else nearby. It's one of our FAVOURITE kayaking areas.
Ah, it's likely a pipe dream, but it's VERY cool in any case.
Who knows what will end up happening????

But Priso just found ANOTHER crazy-ass house on mls.ca. For kicks, he took the day off and we toodled 103 km over and looked at this wacky 14 acres with all these 100 year old insane buildings and sandwiched right between two tiny arms of a river and right next to the sea. You can put your kayak in the river and end up in the sea a few minutes later. It's freaking awesome.
Who knows what will happen? (Gotta have this baby first, acourse).
Y'got yer 100 year old rain tower on the left, the 100 year old workshop in the middle and the still-habitable 100 year old cabin in the back on the right.
And cause it's 100 km out of town (about 65 miles) it's stupid cheap.
Darn Priso and that mls.ca!
(Both elessar and Dis know we're weird enough to go live there too)
Hey! Awesome!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Re: The Happy News thread
Well!
I have been very busy, today.
I have been able to take only a fleeting glance here.
I have came home, I have eaten with my wife (after I have kissed her on the neck.. Eh Eh! Please read above
), then finally I opened my CP to look at this site.
And what have I found? TheCursor is here, posting a story, and also there's another fic of MissAnnthropic.
TriaxianSilk is growing up more and more.
Here there are a lot of great writers.
Here there's Peter Simons, too (by the way, any news of him?), and now there's also The Cursor.
Trés, trés bien!

What are you going to do in LA? You've got another job lined up, I hope.
Hear that, T'Poptarts? You're getting a neighbor.

Quite the opposite I'm afraid. I'm moving there because I don't have a job lined up and the only people I know who can get me one live there. I work in television so frankly moving out there was a possibility unless I wanted to stay in local my whole life, which I don't.

I should go bug Peter. He disappeared.
And he doesn't know our site is thriving because he uses the noflash "If you can't see the menu, push this button" version of our site, which we haven't been updating. (NO, I'm not poking the administrators. I haven't been doing it either. It's a big pain in the butt.)

Well, there sure aren't any television opportunities in Louisiana, so I'm assuming thecursor means Los Angeles.

I gotta admit that I am delighted, and little bit surprised, at just how much the site has exploded recently. This place is really taking off, isn't it?
