I think some of us have been readin to many Decon fics.

Uh shouldnt be to hard to keep it G-Rated, since the whole night was pretty much G-Rated.
Which was fine by me.

Her Names Amber, An Ive known her for a couple years now. She was my Sisters college room mate for over a year. We also were each others Lastminute/Cant get a Date date for my sis's wedding. But by the end of the wedding night, I had such a great time, that I Finaly worked up the nerve to officialy ask her out.

Well the date went pretty well. Disspite my Current cold, an the 3rd, 4th, an 5th(My Sis, Bro Inlaw, another friend) wheels for dinner. But they left us alone pretty much after that. we spent the night Holdin hands, talkin, Watchin Old movies, an snugglin on a couch. Which all went by to fast.

An Next weekend I head on over to her home town to be her date for another wedding.
The only problem, so far. Is she currently lives in Scranton.

Good for you, Mitchell! But catch up on your sleep sometime...

I actualy woke up at 7am the mornin after. But I slept in on Monday, bout a half hour.

Okay, so Mitchell just needs to persuade this lady she wants to leave the big city and live on a farm, and Elessar needs to get rid of some guy... or decide whether the young lady in question is trustworthy. Which perhaps she is if she's the one who told you about the complication with the name.

I was standing in a church pew next to the guy I was living with (yeah, I know, a contradiction but I'm an Episcopalian) when I met my husband. I distinctly remember thinking dang, he's got a nice smile. But I'm with Bill. I even told a friend a work, "I met this really nice guy at church Sunday, and if I wasn't already with somebody I might just go for him."

I am going to offer some fatherly (or uncle-ly) advice. It's worth what you paid for it. But you are a good young man, and I wuold hate to see you get hurt.


Heads up. From someone who has been seared and roasted before. If HE is a complication then you need to maintain a safe distance until they work out whatever their situation is going to be. Otherwise you will end up getting ripped. Invariably, that is what happens.

Don't want to put anyone down. Don't know the girl, don't know anything about the situation or the people involved. But I do have 47 years of experience with nature, good and bad. When two people start to experience trouble in a relationship, and a third person enters the mix, the thrid person invariably becomes a scapegoat. If the realtionship ends, the third person will be blamed. Blamed by the man who lost out, blamed by the couple's friends and family, and quite possibly eventually blamed by the girl herself.

If the couple eventually repairs their relationship, you will be left twisting in the wind.

Best option you got is to wait. let her know you are available, but you are not interested in getting in the middle, and let her make up her own mind about her existing relationship.

Besides. Please don't get offended. I don't know the nature of their arrangement. It might not be exclusive. However, if it IS supposed to be exclusive and she is seeing you... RUN. Run far. Run fast. Don't look back. The old saying about "If they will do it with you they will do it to you" is gospel truth. I have watched it happen too many times in my life, and I have never seen it proven wrong.

Even if they are not supposed to be exclusive, if HE is a serious enough attachment to her to be a problem, and HE was there first, then you need to think long and hard about painting a big target between your shoulderblades.

I only had one guy that was remotely interested in me (and we've been married for 18 1/2 years now ). I must say that it did make things much less complicated.

Fear of physical reprisal is the least of my concerns regarding how I approach her. I'm only concerned with her knowing I have honorable intentions and what kind of labels she might put on me as a guy that goes after a girl with a BF. I intend to show her that I'm only trying because she's really somethin else, that my reasons ain't trivial.

And that's probably the last thing I wanna say on the matter. I don't wanna make a big deal of it.
