Cool! 8)

My happy news: I weighed in at work this morning and I lost 4 1/2 lbs in the last week, for a total of 8 lbs lost since starting the group diet at the salon. So far the only modifications I've made to my diet are things like no second helpings--EVER!!!--and making beer and dessert an either/or thing and never both on the same day.

I will make an exception today, however. :D

Congratulations. That's not bad at all for the no-second-helpings-and-choose-between-beer-and-dessert diet!!

Wow! I'm on that diet starting now until I loose 8lbs! Actually, my "diets" are pretty much just like that. I also do the "skipping breakfast" diet and eating one microwave dinner for lunch diet.

Instead of skipping meals per say, I'd suggest that you eat something light for breakfast (toast, juice, maybe an egg or two), about what you'd normally eat for lunch, and drink something like Ensure for dinner. That's what I've been doing for my diet, and so far I've lost 10 pounds since August. Those shakes have stuff in them that your body needs, and it can help make you feel less hungry after you drink it.

Awesome! Yeah, I had a friend who lost like 40 lbs by just eliminating soda from his diet. I need to eliminate fast food. I have off and on. What sucks for me is my weight as a number doesn't fluctuate much, so it's like... I can eat totally unhealthy crud and I'll be way out of shape but I won't be able to tell by just looking at the scale. I hover around 135-140. I'll just have fat in place of the muscle if I did that.

I agree with everything except the eggs. Power bars and vitamins are good too (if one doesn't like Ensure - I love it, used to drink it all the time. My friend this Korean vet had a ton stocked up and hated it even tho his wife made him buy it so he used to slip it to me, LOL) Not that they're bad for you, just not idea for a diet. Eggs have like 30 g of fat per serving and tons of calories. Good for weightlifting and/or exercise diets though.

Eggs are good for you, I don't care what the study of the week says...

Happy news: for once Property Services was prompt and came right over to fix the malfunctioning heater. I thought I'd be freezing for hours. (Heater died overnight.) And the class I have Friday and Monday is canceled, so I have a super long weekend. ('Course, I've heaps of schoolwork to be doing, but still. A long weekend is a long weekend.)

That's good news. Enjoy between homework bouts.

E, I really wouldn't worry about the fat in eggs. French fries, yes. Eggs -- nah.

Cholesterol.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

But if you aren't already getting lots of cholesterol elsewhere, then it's fine. The ONLY cholesterol in my entire diet is in eggs. So I eat 'em and enjoy 'em. And it helps that the birds who they come out of live about 200 feet from my frying pan. Delicious. There's nothing like cooking up an egg that's still hot from the chicken's butt. :P :)

Good news (in reference to what I posted on the whine thread): we got the map! (Take that, selfish members of the other group!) Three of my classmates went to the proper office today at 7.30am and got it. We plotted, sketched, resized, copied, edited, and colored it to make our assignment for tomorrow... Now all we need is the professor to like it.
