What have we learned from the T'nT sites?

I got a little frustrated in a previous discussion. Sometimes it seems like we argue with each other all day, all this airing of infinite diversity, and it never changes anything, so I decided to turn things around.
What have you LEARNED from this site? Specifically from the airing of stories and opinions?
I'll go first.
I learned something about the Second Amendment (to the U.S. Constitution--right to bear arms) and how strongly held peoples feelings on it are. Contrary to the gun control side (my side), I now suspect the original intent of that amendment likely was "a right to bear arms" even apart about the "well-ordered militia."
I learned that men are people too. Of course I already knew that, but after reading some of the rip-your-heart-out stories on this site written by men, I'm not going to forget it, no matter how rough and gruff and untalkative some of you men might be.
I learned a few details about um . . . the NC-17 aspect of life.
I learned that I'm "normal" that is, when I write about my experience through my stories, some people get it. And I "get" what they are doing. That's very conforting.
Anyone else?
