Fan Film may become canon???

I've been following the progress of the so called "Fan Film" Of Gods and Men and I was reading on Memory Alpha that Tim Russ was trying to get it liscensed as official Star Trek (considering that it has at least five canon characters - possibly more - played by the original actors).

I just thought this was an interesting turn of events and I'm excited by the possibility of watching some Trek that wasn't produced by Rick Berman for a change.

You're probably right. Did you know that South Trek is mentioned on Memory Alpha.

Very Happy I didn't know there are so many fan films. I've only seen Star wreck and of course South Trek.
T'Poptarts is there going to be more South Trek in the future? Very Happy

That film "Of Gods and Men" looks really promising. I'm looking forward to seeing that.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tuvok to TOS sound effects. That's going to be soooo cool. Too bad they didn't write in Harry Kim (I think Garret is actually playing a bad guy).

Working on it, but it's going slowly because there's too many people and noise in my room and it's really hard for me to think especially with my dyslexia Confused plus one of my friends/voice actresses went back to Arkansas so recording is probably gonna take longer too. But working on it. Smile

Maybe someone will someday. I'm suspecting the above film might be a "bring back Kirk" story, but there's no indication that Shatner was ever involved in the thing. They released the first 3 minutes of it so far and so far the story seems to focus on the character.

I just learned that Of Gods and Men has cast the actor who played Soval in Enterprise. I didn't realize that, so forgive me for the oversight; I've been too excited about seeing Tuvok, Chekov, and Uhura all over again that I overlooked some of the other cast members. (PS - there are a lot more Trek actors in it than those three and I don't think I can name all of them here)

Gary Graham plays rebel freedom fighter Ragnar in Of Gods and Men. He is best known for his work as Detective Sykes on Alien Nation and the recurring role of Vulcan Ambassador Soval on Star Trek Enterprise.

I thought you'd all find that interesting.
