T'Pol's shirt does look nice, but I'm not one to buy a used shirt for over $200. I do have one more reason to buy at Guess from now on. Laughing

and you wouldn't wear it, you'd like frame it, or cabinet it, or something. And then, wait, I've gotta go find the HoT thread so I can quote correctly, hold on....

...okay, see and then when you did open the cabinet, you could:

I laughed so hard way back when I first read that part of that post I almost died. Still my favourite thread at HoT. Blue undies. Laughing

see this is why jolene is afraid of conventions: she pictures strange fans, both female and male, mauling her clothing which, though it's from Guess and all, they paid 100's of $$$ for on eBay. and yes, I probably would maul any Trek costume I got...even Morn's.

I wouldn't maul a Trek costume, but I suppose it's a moot point since I wouldn't buy one. Where would I put it anyway? My closet isn't that big and I barely have room for clothes that fit me. And I don't spend that kind of money on clothes. I don't even buy at regular prices - I shop mostly clearance sales. It's just a costume. *shrug* I'd rather go see it, like at the Experience, than own it. They had Jadzia Dax's wedding dress at the Experience when I went. Now that was cool.

I don't really see the draw myself, unless a T'Pol comes with the costume that is. Laughing

Let's put it this way: If any of the women here wanna buy it, put on some silicone ears and a close-cut chestnut brown wig, I'll "maul" them Laughing

So Jolene doesn't do conventions?

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

No she did, she did... 4 that I know of. First one in Pasadena, CA, right before the cancellation... in like April 2005 I think... and then technically she was billed for two: one in Vegas in 2005, but she got a work related commitment come up and didn't attend, and then Vegas in 2006 which she attended but got food poisoning and had to leave early... in case you haven't heard my rant, by "early", I of course mean about 12 seconds before I got to the front of the Photo-Op line to get my picture with her. I even had my camera out when she walked away to take video of her because the direction of the bathroom was such that she'd have to walk right towards me as I stood in the line, but she never came back and after about 30 minutes they explained she wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be coming back. I think she's also been to 1 FedCon in Bonn, Germany.

I'm not aware of any others she's been to though.

We probably creep her out too much for her to want to make a concerted effort to go to many of these things...

I really don't think that's the case, I highly doubt the woman spends a second online so there's no way she encounters the more strange of her fans, and from all accounts she seemed in Pasadena to be at first a little overwhelmed but in the end enjoyed herself and even become very emotional at the end of her talk when they were discussing the cancellation. So I really don't think that's it, I just think she's a busy working woman and has plenty of other things to do and certainly doesn't need the money.

She was stalked that one time actually in like 2002? But that was before she ever attended a convention so it's not as if that would have played a role in any decisions whether to or not to attend conventions. And think about the way you are at a convention.. I mean assuming you've been to a convention. Trust me, even (especially) when you run into your most die hard favorite character/actor, unless you're an absolute nut (and nobody here is an absolute nut, not even KTR Wink) you're usually pretty nervous and reserved.

Oh, I don't know, I still hold out that secret hope that at least this latest MySpace page is actually hers, but I suppose it could be false hope.
