A place to post gems of the Internet world.
To start...a real gem if ever there was one....
In my province of British Columbia, we have a program called baitcar.com which can be found (surprisingly) at http://www.baitcar.com
Basically, the cops pimp out nice cars and leave them parked in high crime areas and then the cars get stolen by criminal chumps. There are video cameras in the cars that record the chumps driving around...and GPS...and at an appropriate moment, the cops remote-kill the engine and lock the doors and arrest the criminal chumps.
And then they post the video on baitcar.com. Hilarious. And the system really works. They advertise the existence of the baitcars to the public on bus stop ads and radio and all kinds of places and invite u to visit the site and watch criminals getting caught. So if you're a car thief it adds an element of extra difficulty in your chosen career. Neat program, hey?
In this video from Kelowna BC, the guys actually laugh about baitcars and imagine if THEIR car could be a baitcar and they are so stoked about their successful steal and then.....
