Rest Stop Internet!

Postby Elessar » Thu Jun 19, 2008 1:03 pm

I'm currently like 30 miles south of Dallas... driving back to Missouri... and this rest stop has wireless internet!

I'm totally shocked. I didn't think America (much less TEXAS) was this techno-savvy. I'm even in my car. It's an 802.11b network, but hey, it works.

Gotta go. 700 miles to drive.

Cool. I usually have to pull over into a motel parking lot to get internet access while traveling.

Wireless and mobile internet is very good in the UK. I'm actually typing this on a HSDPA enabled HTC TyTn. HSDPA can give a speed of upto 1.8 Megs/Second. Very quick! Do you guys have anything similar in the US?
