It' s a sad day for Stargate SG-1 fans, actor Don S. Davis (Gen. Hammond) has died.

I heard
Hammond of Texas has fallen in battle.
He had been ill for quite some time, I think. I recall reading that he left the show because of a heart condition.

Sad news . I hope they'll do a tribute to Don S. Davis on the new dvd Stargate Contunumm or that sci-fi channel will do a Stargate Tribute to him.

Yeah, I wonder if he was in it? The DVD is due out in the U.S. on July 29th, but there's no air date scheduled yet.

Sad news indeed.
And he wasn't really that old either...
I remember and liked him when I first saw his performance as Major Garland Briggs on
Twin Peaks.
