Well, the show is not that old and it has been a favorite show of mine as well. It ended very abruptly.... :(

It was a short lived but a gem of show on FOX back in the late 80 [it had just one or two seasons]

any way back on track ... Around group of Marines called the Wild Cards [fighter squadron on in space]

Earth in under attack from some Alien Race that attack an earth colony on some plante..

short end of a long expl. of that the show was about

It's bad we weren't able to see this show here, in Italy.
It sounds very good.

I have the feeling the show was not shown in many countries around the world. It was shown on Dutch television late 90-ties I guess. I did not see any sci fi till 1995, so that must be right. My fav character was the boy who was created in some kind of factory, a clone. He was looked upon by "real humans" and he had a really difficult time being without parents.
I still remember the scene that he was chased by two people because he was a clone and the scene in the factory where he was "born". And when the scene where they - the team - found out that the guy they have been helping is a member of the mysterieus enemy they have been fighting. To sum up, it is pity they cancelled the show.
I tried 3 times to write this reply and every time my lovely family prevented me from finishing. Not this time!! :D

While a good show, it irked me that they had these military guys (and gals) be everything - commandos, fighter pilots, you name it. That was just a tad too much.

But it was too bad that there wasn't a real ending. Who were those "chigs" anyway?
