Is this Bastille Day?
Or am I mistaken? Please forgive me if I am wrong. I am American. We get confused.

Me too. First thought: Bastille Day? French Independence day? And I live about 10 hours from Paris.

Mmm.. thought I was better in history..

Bastille Day.
In Europe we have a saying: When France sneezes, Europe blows nose.

Know what he gave me? He said he's going back on his low carb diet, that's what. So he'll be cranky but eventually skinnier and hopefully healthier. So we're having 8 oz steaks and broccoli tonight.

Happy Anniversary, Distracted!
And happy Bastille Day, everyone.
They have all sorts of ethnic festivals over the summer in Milwaukee and one of them is Bastille day which lasts the whole weekend. They used to have a run at midnight called "Storm the Bastille", they still might have it but I don't know for sure. I ran in it one year back when I was doing runs the whole summer and accumulating a pile of T-shirts. One time I even got a trophy when I won a small race. Not up to running anymore, I stay with the people who walk the course these days, with their baby carriages and dogs. But I haven't even done that in a couple of years, now.

Ahhh... yesss.... Bastille Day, when French decided that instead of playing ball and talk about the king they were going to play with king's balls and talk about other things
And happy anniversary,
Dis.
