Anyone else on the board watch this series? Tonight was the series finale, and although it was an incredible run for a show of its type the disappointment on the ship front has me UBER depressed. Depressed like *the_abomination*. I need some good TnT fic and chocolate.

I've never even heard of it -- and now I'm glad I haven't. My condolences!

Aren't the characters a little young for shipping purposes? Maybe it's just my age showing, but I just can't get into pairing off teenagers.

I agree with you 100%, but I was hoping for some kind of Epilogue wherein we see the characters older and mature several years later. But watching a 12 year old and 14 year old kiss in 'twu wuv' as the final scene (especially two characters I did NOT want to see in that light) was, well, nauseating and quite vexing.

Yes it is an excellent series. I however was depressed that Avatar's movie is written and directed by He Who Shall Not Be Named.

They have said they'll be a sequel or prequel series. Maybe a young Ryko

Aang and Katara happily ever after. ::shudder:: They're 12 and 14 and it ends in a massive lip-lock, EW. I need to gorge on Firefly and Enterprise fic after that. I don't generally care for plots that involve tweens. Dealing with them 11 months of the year is taxing enough, but the visual style and plot of the series kept me interested for its three season run and that ending aside, it was quite good.

Rumor has it that M Night Shyamalan is directing a cinematic trilogy of the series. But you can take that with a grain of salt.

Confirmed actually. He's doing it...also writing it...which if you've seen The Happening is a very, very bad thing.

Very bad. M. Night is by far the biggest disappointment in American Film.

Yeah, the quality of his films has deteriorated rather abruptly. I thought the Sixth Sense was an excellent film. I know critics and movie goers weren't impressed with his follow up film Unbreakable, but as a comic book geek, I thought it was genius. Signs was marginal, and don't even get me started on The Village or Lady in the Water. I've not seen The Happening, not that I could have. I blinked and the movie wasn't in theatres anymore.

Look at it this way. If he does it live action maybe at least the characters will be older.

^ Nah they'll just look older because they'll take like 30somethings to play 12 year olds.

I know it's like he can't accept the fact that he can't write a script.

I was still enjoying his movies up through The Village. He lost me with Lady in the Water.
