Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
After the "when animals go animal and attack" theme yesterday I expected zombies or aliens today. Close enough. The Sci-Fi Channel is having a mini Enterprise and Next Generation marathom today. ENT episodes are playing through 4:00PM ESD and then the Next Gen episodes pick up from there.

Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
I found this out quite by accident when I got up this morning and I didn't recall setting my DVR to record anything today. Checked the list and there it was! Been watching most of the morning, but will have to catch the rest later because I've got chores to do.

You know, I thought we were due for an Enterprise marathon so I went to check scifi.com yesterday -- and didn't see a word about it. Couldn't they market this thing a little better?
Not that it matters. I have the DVDs. I'm just anxious to see Enterprise gets played!

OMG, ANOTHER new chapter! NORTH STAR Chapter 28

I know "Carpenter Street" is showing right now. I can't wait to watch it later and see how jacked up their idea of Detroit was!

Gah. I hate that episode. It had potential, but it felt like an old cop show instead of Star Trek. I'm looking forward to Escriba's rewrite!

Me too!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Damn, and I was looking forward to it! Still, it'll be interesting to see how much they got right about my neck of the woods. I remember in the premiere episode of Blade The Series, the waterfront was all digitized because the arrangement of the buildings was all wrong!

Does anyone have any idea how the episodes were selected for today's marathon? I was just wondering if maybe they were runners-up from the last Viewer's Choice marathon or something.

Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
Personally I looked at the list and thought maybe they said, "Hmm, how about some totally random episodes nobody has ever voted for in one of our polls?" But maybe they were the runner-ups. Only North Star was one I liked much. I don't mind The Breach. Three hunky guys rappelling ... it could be worse. The B plot was annoying, though.

MMMMMMMMMMM-HMMMMMMMMMMM!

Just goes to show that you don't have to like sci-fi in order to appreciate Enterprise!

Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
Apparently there was a viewer poll related to this marathon today, "a movie that shaped your vision of the future", or something to that effect. The leading title was Blade Runner which is airing right after the final Next Gen episode. Thing is, I don't recall this being advertised at all.

Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
Blade Runner is cool, but extremely frakked up.
Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
The only show I got to see of the Enterprise marathon was The Breach due to an unexpected Emergency I didn't get to see any more of the Enterprise Marathon this day was really crazy.
Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
I only got to watch about half of "Carpenter Street," then I had to start cooking dinner because we had company.
I laughed my butt off at their idea of what Detroit is like! There's really not that much street parking (at least not on streets I'm not scared to go), and even if there was, like NOBODY would leave their cars out there after dark! Everyone parks in structures or lots that have security guards on duty. And the hookers....they don't look like that in Detroit! They're a whole different kind of skanky, and it's usually a crap shoot whether or not they've got all their teeth.
And then there's the bums and the rats, which I didn't see much of in the episode so far.
Still, I thought it was HILARIOUS that the first thing Archer and T'Pol do the minute they get to Detroit is steal a freaking car!!! That was AWESOME!!
They could've made a killing in the repo business, or running for chop shops!

I saw some of Borderland and Cold Station 12. Unfortunately I didn't see Soong's snide comment to Tucker about "your little...FRIEND",
, I just saw them looking for T'Pol at the slave auction and a few other things. Still, not my fav. mini arc in early season 4.

Re: Mini Enterprise & Next Generation Marathon
I find that arc so tedious. Did they really need three episodes for it? Do we give a fig about the augments' in-fighting? Couldn't they have done it as a two-parter, instead of dragging it out for three eps? At second viewing I began to wonder if they were simply trying to amortize set costs and save themselves from having to write another original story...
