My Friend Photographed Starfleet Command...

I keep asking him for details of the Bay Area b/c he lives there, so, he was at the GG Bridge and the Presidio area and decided to show me:

Er, something I just realized. This is technically the view from SFC to the Richardson Bay area, where Trip and T'Pol's apartment is in YMAM3, actually.

In my future, that whole wooded area across the way there is mostly developed now, though the extreme western end is still wooded, cuz it's a state park. But that whole cove area there in the bay would have a ton of high rise apartments.

IN case anyone's curious, Sausalito is that direction, too. It's just a little further inland, along the cove shoreline. That's where the Vulcan Consulate is.

Interesting. It's always intriguing to give substance to thoughts.

I'd really like to go there and see the places I write... it's like, now I really really really want to go to Telluride, Colorado before I die. Actually go up the trails that I supposedly claimed Jack had a cabin on . It would FREAK ME THE HELL OUT if some dude actually had a cabin about 2 KM from Teakettle Mountain! (it's a real mountain!)

Well, I'm IN San Fransciso RIGHT NOW, but I wasn't the friend who sent Elessar the picture. I am aware that I am "near" Starfleet headquarters and of course the Warp 5 Complex and the setting of Elessar's YMAMIII. I'm at a huge economics conference. Mentioning Starfleet headquarters gets me some strange looks. HEH! But it's plenty nerdy here in other ways, as you can imagine, so I don't feel apologetic. I'm having great nerdy fun attending the conference, including some fun sessions on the current financial crisis, ethics and capitalism, Alexander Hamilton, and an economic model explaining increasing brain size in human evolution. WHEE!! (and I'm not being sarcastic.)

"See" you all soon, when I get "back." I'm at an internet cafe. :D

We'll try to keep our rampant jealousy at bay.

Seriously, though, glad you're enjoying yourself.

I love SF! I went to SF on my honeymoon. My husband and I still want to go back one day. When we have the money. So we have this joke that when we are 80 and married for 50 years, we walk around SF as two old love birds. :D

Slight correction ;) - you mean the Warp 6 Complex from A Twist of Fate. The Warp 5 Complex was on Bozeman, Montana :)

Hmm...a friend of mine recently picked a notepad I'd made some notes on while rooting around in the Vulcan Language Dictionary. What language is this? quothe he. Vulcan, said I, peeking cautiously around the closet door. Now, that was look, alright.

Whoopsie. Warp 5 Complex is in Montana. Warp 6 of Twist of Fate in San Francisco. Got it!

JadziaKathyrn, you're funny.
