Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Oh, and I should probably mention that most of them are Engineers and two are big Enterprise fans.

THIS IS THE PICTURE I WANTED TO SHOW YOU!

Here is a picture taken by Barbara Wilson, one of the foremost amateur astronomers in the world and one of the Texas Star Party organizers:

That's pretty much what it looked like at the Texas Star Party!

an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Wow that got a good reaction. :) I should probably leave it at that but here are two pictures of from the tour of McDonald Observatory. Here is an old-fashioned HUGE telescope. I'm actually in this picture, behind the speaker by the ladder.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/sclayworth ... 528782275/

And here is a new-fangled telescope that blew me away. The Hobby-Eberly Telescope. It's hard to tell what's going on in this picture, but the mirror is on the bottom. The mirror kind of blends in visually with the dome over it. For scale, look at the hats at the bootom of the picture. This telescope is only for spectroscopy, (you know when you split up the light from a star or galaxy and anayze it's components to learn what chemicals are involved and how fast the object is moving (redshift)).
