Here is a very IDIC weekend in August (what Linda is doing, running around and not writing fan fiction like she should be doing).
An eagle at a wedding is good luck. This is the Lac du Flambeau reservation in northern Wisconsin.

The groom is into motorcycles and his biker friends have parked their bikes in front of the newly married couple's house:

Two of my granddaughters who attended the wedding. No photos of me, I am taking the photos!

Next day, half way across the state, I attended a funeral. Actually it is a year after my friend's death. It is the placing of the tombstone ceremony and I made food for the feast which followed. My daughter made fry bread and I made wild rice because although he was Jewish, my friend had many Native American friends. Also very IDIC is the bagpiper from the Robert Burns Club (Scottish poet society); the piper actually is Italian. My deceased friend was a member of the Burns club that I am also a member of. Note the stones on top of the tombstone. They are put there by friends of the deceased. One stone is from a ruined castle in Scotland, thanks to another member of the Burns club who grew up in Scotland but moved to Milwaukee many years ago.

Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
