Warpgirl, if you want males with great strength and agility try Male Ballet Dancers. They usually are considered as pansys. but one could kick a person through a door.

I watched one Malle Ballet dancer. Carry a female who dressed out at about 130 pounds one handed above his head stiff armed across a stage and the back before putting her down. that takes a lot of strength. Male Ballet dancers have to catch a female who leaps in to his arms from a few feet away and make it look graceful. Male figure skaters are the same. They catch a female who leaps in to their arms, carries her across the ice sometime over their head. Perhaps not one handed but still a difficult thing to do if one doesn't have the strength. I watch figure skating quite often especially pairs. Or Ice dancing.

One of my story ideas on the back burner was to have a human figure skater who was a crewmember on Enterprise, impress some Andorians on Shran's ship with a video. So while exploring an icy world on a joint scientific venture, the humans make a rink and teach the Andorians some skating - including a little ice hockey. Now THAT is a manly sport if there ever was one. Can you see Andorians with hockey sticks? This catches on like wild fire with the Andorians, so skating sports spread across the Andorian home world and eventually there are interplanetary Winter Olympic games. This helps cement the foundation of the Federation.

Sigh, I may never get around to doing anything with this idea. Anybody want to pick it up?

Silverbullet I love dance, and male dancers and ballet believe me it's not something I didn't know. And I think it's a terrible stereotype to call male dancers "pansy's" I'm not saying you do it, I was talking about the sterotype in general. I'm hoping to post some pictures of my kitty here soon.

Warpgirl, I wasn't calling them Pansy. Just noted thiswas a name hung on Male Ballet Dancers. I have too much respect for the difficulty of Ballet to do that.

Remmeber whe that famous Male Ballet Star ws on "Sex and the City?" apparently he was a ladies man and had cut a wide swath among the Female Ballet Dancers.

We used to get storms like that all the time when I was a kid, usually lose power and/or phone every time. Everything outside would have this creepy-quiet otherworldly feel to it. I have a pic from Easter Sunday of 1979 where everything is all covered with ice; we had to postpone Easter because there was no power and no way to cook.

I don't mind all of the snow here but we lost power for hours and that was scary because it was getting very cold.
