^ How? Well I'd resist first of all because I don't wear makeup. And second of all I consider words like "sexy" or "hot" etc like a huge insult if anyone says that about me. Worse than an insult. :? :? Like yeah I know in this era most girls feel like flattered and stuff when they're called that and good for them, if they enjoy that why not. But I personally just despise anything that's sexually objectifying I'm not "sexy" and I never ever wanna be and I think it's like totally yuck. So that's why I'd resist. That name serves as an instant T'Poptarts repellent. :? :? :? :?

:guffaw: Just what I need - a "sexy pout."
Looks good on Jolene, though.

Whoa you know what I just realized. Like out of 9 fics I have on FanLib they featured 3 of them. All filks (duh cuz I only have like 2 that aren't filks :? :? ). That's like a third of my fics.   And I'm not even a good writer. :? :? :? :?

Well, there is nothing wrong with someone appreciating your beauty as long as they appreciate your mind as well. That's what defines who you are, after all. It's all in the eye of the beholder anyway. I certainly agree with you about objectifying people.

Maybe you're underestimating your writing abilities. :)

It's very discouraging sometimes, but I still want to believe the best or at least continue to hope for it. I don't envy Eric, having to fire people and all. I could never do it. :(
Well, about the time there was proof someone stole would be when firing them got a whole lot easier, I imagine. For me at least.

I imagine if they're long term employees, they've been stealing for a long time.

Ok, so I have to write a short story -7 pages or better- for my creative writing class. Problem is, can't write Trek, so I'm having trouble thinking of what to write about, because most of my other ideas would be real short, like maybe a page or two. Otherwise, my main two ideas are this:
- A general sci fi that takes place in a HALOesque universe, but without the impending alien invasion, in which a computer tech and the ship's AI fall in love and have to try to figure out a way to be together
- A military story that can either take place in WWII or modern day, in which one guy has trouble fitting in with the rest of his unit, and is constantly mocked and generally hated by the rest of them. Then they get ambushed and it turns out the guy they all figured for a wuss saves a bunch of them, but ends up dying in the end.

The first idea seems interesting.

Well, I'm more partial to the second idea.

You guys are skipping straight to the prose, CX? I'm irked 'cause we're wasting half the semester on poetry in my Creative Writing class. I don't want to write poetry, dammit.
