Hopefully you will get paid your overtime when your manager gets back from vacation?

As Rigil would say, that sucks. I don't suppose you are unionized where you work? Sounds like a good gievence case to me.

You don't even have to be unionized. Federal law requires compensation for overtime.

People ignore the law all the time. You need to fight for your legal rights or you are going to get walked all over. As a good misanthrope, you should be seeing the worst in people, right?

Depends on the type of employment, that's not universal. I had an internship (for the State Gov't even) where I didn't get paid "overtime pay", just ordinary wages, and it was legal. I don't know exactly what that kind of employment was called... but I know that later when I was a contractor, it was the same for that case as well... but contracting is all kinds of exceptionalized.

My life has just reached the epitome of wierd.

In my fridge, right next to the salsa and feta and zuchinni (okay, so I have absolutely no order in my fridge) are my ballet pointe shoes. :doubt:

It's a new "thermomorph technology" and I'm a sucker for that stuff.

But I can just imagine what would happen if any of my friends or family came for a visit.

I work for a Department of Defense Contractor....Unisys Corporation.

I DO NOT get paid overtime, time and a half. Just ordinary wages.

I'm salary....so maybe that's why.

Some companies like CACI, ATT and Harris on our contract do pay over time. Other's like Raytheon and Mine do not.

It just depends.

Well if it were me...I'd just move them out of my way while raiding your fridge.

But then again.....I dance as well....and I've done/ seen stranger things done to dance shoes.

lol

Ahhh, CACI - the darkside.

As to Emberchyld's refrigerator's contents, she could be a large animal vet. Think what could be in there under those circumstances. No offense, Emberchyld.

Emberchyld's post reminded me of the "chilled trainers" scene in Red Dwarf.

Well on the way back from the store I cut some poor guy off and he almost ruined his little Saturn on the rear bumper of my pickup. Fortuantely he had good brakes and the road wasn't too wet from the recent rain. :? Having a topper definately has its drawbacks, a huge blind spot chief among them.
