Have a nice rest, then, Elessar. Get some sleep instead of staying up all night partying/studying/whatever. Sleep is good for you. (says mama Distracted)

Re: The Happy News thread
Yeah

Re: The Happy News thread
Been there...done that. Before my husband first lost weight on Atkins about three years ago he used to snore so loudly that I kicked him out of the bedroom and made him sleep on the fold-out couch in the game room until he did something about his sleep apnea. Being the infernally stubborn man that he is, he of course didn't take that as a hint to GO TO THE DOCTOR. Of COURSE not! What could a doctor do for him? (Other than to check him for diabetes and high blood pressure and prescribe him a nasal CPAP machine...but he didn't think he needed any of that.)
Fortunately, he knew what he had to do to get rid of the snoring and after about three months on Atkins he'd lost enough weight so the snoring stopped. Then I let him sleep with me again.
(No...not that.
Lysistrada I'm not. The man DID have conjugal visits in those three months. He just couldn't SLEEP there...or neither of us got any sleep because I would poke him and wake him up to make him stop snoring at least 20 times a night.
)

Sigh. Well Zombie is skinny but she's just a really heavy smoker. And I don't have like anywhere to kick her out to... except for like out the window I guess
but that would like totally get me in trouble.
And we can't even like wake her up when she snores because NOTHING IN THE WORLD WAKES HER UP!!!!

Sounds like it's time for plan B... earplugs.
Wait a minute. Didn't we have this conversation before? I seem to remember it degenerating into something about vibrating alarm clocks.

Of course I do. I'm not THAT senile... yet. Besides, it was a memorable conversation which inspired an even more memorable off-color filk.

As of today, 25 years married for me and my wife. No divorce papers filed, no murder attempts.

Silver wedding! Congratulations.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Re: The Happy News thread
Snoring doesn't even bother me anymore. The main trick is just to fall asleep first. I'd rather have loud company then a quiet bed all to myself. But, then again, I've never been all that normal either.
Congrats, BnB! That's awesome.
