Happy News:
Finaly had the corn reach the top of the large 18' X 50" Silo today. Now for the slow process of toppin it off, till it all setles down. All in all should have 300 tons in it by the end of the week.

An then to fill the 14' x 50 silo, which Holds half what the 18' can.

Best part, were gona have close to 30 acres of corn still standing after the silos are both topped off. :) To much corn is a problem I like havin.
:? But Im tired.
TnT I love em. Very Happy

Corn is up this year, isn't it? With the new emphasis on ethanol?

:? Tell me bout it. Not everyone in the Ag industry is gona "Love" these Bio fuels. Soy for Bio Diesel, an Corn for ethanol. Both are main ingrediants in livestock feed. So now the price of grain will go even higher, the more demand their is for these Bio fuels. :?

So Im not the only Local Dairy farmer lookin to grow their own pickin Corn these days.

Sigh, if it weren't for the distance, I'd rather ride a horse to work than drive a car, since they now would be fueled the same. And a horse would have more personality than my car. But I would not be too thrilled with having to shovel out the by-product of the horse, even if it does not polute the atmosphere like the by-product of the car.

Ah well...

*Ponders philosophically*

I really do wear bifocals and walk with a cane now, so what the heck?

LOL, Bnb, I wear trifocals! Doesn't slow me down at all, though. I can still outrun the grandkids to the icecream truck when it comes down the street. But it won't be long until they pick up speed and pass me.
