Working on my latest story. I am surprised it is nearly finished when I said I wasn't going to do any writing until the boat gets hauled out of the water by crane this coming Saturday. Not watching any TV or DVDs or even reading. Ignoring the yard work: the pear tree which needs picking, the rose bushes which need to have straw laid around them for winter. But I am keeping up with feeding the pets - unlike the roses and pear tree they let me know when they need personal attention!

yeah I just did about a week ago... so odd that it became available before 4x03 did. I went ahead and watched it out of order, but that meant that when I watched 'Reunion', I knew Ronin didn't end up leaving the team . That was actually a really good episode, I thought... Jason Momoa did pretty well with the whole thing, and of course, it was awesome to see him fight his 3 best friends... really a "thin line between love and hate" kind of thing.

I had forgotten about the 'wraith worshippers'... I just thought they were cooperating with them for some reason until he said that. Good epi.

Watching "Bionic Woman".

Don't laugh. It's pretty good. My 15 year old says it's "beast mode"... whatever that means. It does freak me out when they call her Jamie Summers, though. There's only one Jamie Summers in my book. (I was a MAJOR fan of the original as a kid.) Katie Sakhoff's pretty cool as the freaked out bad girl, though.

Also, check out "Torchwood" and "Pushing Daisies". Odd...very odd. But they're entertaining.

The original was a spinoff of the wildly popular "Six Million Dollar Man" starring Lee Majors as Steve Austin. Lindsay Wagner played his girlfriend Jamie Summers, a tennis pro from Ojai, California who got injured in an auto accident. Steve pulled strings to get her bionicized. Then she started working for the government as an undercover agent. Sound familiar?

Anyway, the original "Bionic Woman" was pretty good, in a terminally '70's, leisure-suited, middle of the Cold War sorta way. The plots were corny. I remember her going undercover as a nanny, a nurse, a teacher, a nun...you get the idea. In one particularly wince-worthy episode she entered a beauty pageant. The woman can't sing. REALLY. Didn't stop her from producing an incredibly awful version of the song "Feelings". You've probably never heard the song either. Lucky you.

Lindsay Wagner was one of my first fangirl crushes, though, so I watched obsessively and forgave her for singing badly.
