T'Poptarts congrats are such a great audition. Hope you get the part. Hey, maybe that dream I had about you on Leno was a good sign.
What do you think?

Dunno just yet...
Well those stars better get me to the frelling convention. I wanna embarrass myself publicly in a T'Pol costume for 4 minutes too.

Yay, T'Poptarts!
It's a full moon tommorrow, so I say run with the luck! (Of course, the audition wasn't luck-- it's your talent!)

Re: The Happy News thread
Is it a PAYing part?
Cause you could immediately spend it on transporting yourself to a Trek convention.

Re: The Happy News thread
ah, well. The next one will be paying. And THEN you can give it all to Star Trek.
I used to slave for $6 hour in my mom's fabric store and then spend every single dime (hundreds of dollars) at cons. It was totally worth it.
Your heart never falls quite the way it does when you've just gone allllllllll the way down a thirty foot line of chin-height three-tier shelves and colour sorted and smoothed and re-rolled hundreds of heavy bolts of fabric and then you look back and some frakking mom-grandma-bride team of evil has been undoing your work the whole time, just following in your wake and unravelling and oohing and ahhhing and throwing back randomly and stuffing in and not thinking one bit about it. And you're 14. And you're being paid $6/hour.
I hate bolts of fabric. It's a specific hate, but a passionate one.

Re: The Happy News thread
Oh, you're right enow. But it wasn't enough security that these freaks would screw the place up every day for me to clean.
I need 100% security.
So I became unemployed. And I'm 100% sure I'm gonna stay that way.

My friend in SoCal sent me a box of beads. It's like Christmas.

Re: The Happy News thread
Just got back from Sleepy Hollow, NY (home of the Headless Horseman!), and the Legend Weekend evening event. Yes, it's geared more towards kids/families, yes, it can get a little bit cheesy, but it's just not Halloween without treading on that hallowed ground. And I love it! Ghosts dancing a quadrille, a great storyteller telling the legend of Sleepy Hollow, pirates, witches, the headless horseman riding about, butternut squash soup, candle-lit lantern paths, bonfires... fun, even in the rain. (and now, my kitty is having a field day sniffing the NY dirt on my sneakers)
(BTW, anyone in spitting distance of Sleepy Hollow, you must check out http://www.hudsonvalley.org and Legend and The Great Jack o'Lantern Blaze. MUST. and I'm not just saying that because I'm a member of Historic Hudson Valley!).
