Great pics, Beth. Make sure you keep those in a box forever and ever. The boys love to look back at their drawings, believe it or not. We used to make Chris draw a picture each day before he could go play and he happily did so! He was and is the amazing artist, with his twin brother right behind him. They even drew a lot of Star Trek pictures back then. I should find the picture of the Borg child. It was a collaborative effort that the whole family got in on. (Both me and my husband can draw.) My boys started laughing when we found it in a box. Apparently they had taken it to kindergarten and told everyone they did it themselves and the teacher didn't seem to believe their little white lie, but their friends were amazed. LOL.
Oh about the letters. I am a terrible speller and my handwriting is terrible, so I don't know how wonderful the letters were, but we mostly corresponded by cassette tape. We'd sit down and talk into a tape recorder for an hour and (play songs and stuff) and even get our friends to chat a little and drop the tape in the mail! (It was like a zillion dollars a minute to use the phone from Thailand to the United States.) Our cassette tape method of correspondence worked great.
I'm donating my body to science fiction.
